• Important note : Yes I use Werewolf the Apocalypse as source material but I am integrating it with CoX lore in which case I have stripped , and or tweaked certain things to fit with CoX lore. I am well aware of the inaccuracies of this character but really thats not the point. I am here to entertain not to give a full WtA character with all the trimmings.

(This contains everything Daichi is and has become up to this point and also will talk about a MAJOR PLOT point that Is in the works. With that being said This is all a work in progress and will be Ironed out and Refined accordingly. With that being said I will be doing my best to avoid Spoiling what I have planed and also hope to find some spoiler tags that I could use to Hide these potential plot reveals.) *This Major Plot Point might not happen but this is all meant to establish Daichi's Lore to make it pretty clear that Daichi has become something completely different.

1530 - 1560 : Life and Death of Daichi Hideyoshima

• 1530 (Birth):

Daichi was born in a fairly large village in Kyoto Secluded from most of human civilization. however that didn't mean it had its own dangers and perils as well. He also grew up with a Privileged family of nobles that acted as judicators and protectors of a shrine that contained artifacts , scrolls and ancient weapons of untold power. However each protector of the shrine was asked never to step foot in it unless the shaman allowed them to. The items were extremely powerful and they did not want the protector to abuse such power. Also the nature of these items have been known to scorch or scold the users due to the sheer divinity/primordial(/ = it could be either or both) majesty of the said items.

Daichi's childhood was not tragic however , he had a caring parents and teachers that were patient and kind. Daichi was blessed with having a full life despite his future tragedies that lay ahead for him

• 1544(first change):

When Daichi was fourteen he against his parents will went out hunting one night , it was getting dark and the clouds betrayed a half moon to him. He at his age panicked and worried as he was lost in the wilderness as the stress boiled over as he finally reached the village's rice fields. Reluctantly there were villagers there at the time doing there shifts on guard duty as militia and spotted Lord Daichi riding through and managed to get him off his horse and lock him up in a rice silo and rode the night out without incident. Also this is an incident he can't fully remember due to how the first change itself works.

• 1549(Spiritual Adapt and First taste of conflict):

At the Age of eighteen Daichi had a firm grasp of geomancy , had a good understanding of Japanese martial arts and also swordsmanship. Also at the time his father fell in combat during one of the campaigns against an evil entity known only as the wyrm. As tradition holds he was the next in line to take his fathers mantel however he must prove himself through a rite of passage through what would be considered a baptism of fire.(layman's terms; He had to go through full blown battle and survive) He was a basic grunt but however he had command over a small group of youthful garou (Werewolves) like him. (the stories vary on the number he had and only he would know how many. and yes even their names too) He was ordered with his troops to take on a full battalion of Fomori(possessed humans by the wyrm). He and two others came out of that fight alive and became the best of friends with. However this reputation of his also carried over on in the later years in his life when he had full responsibility of a battalion of his own.

Even though Daichi was and still is a brilliant tactician his luck was not the greatest and often times his new recruits felt uneasy being put under his command. He had a notority of a fairly high casualty rate during early campaigns as well as later ones as well. Usually he found himself replacing veterans often and then also putting them under his tutelage as well. This is another thing he blames himself over to this day , often times he found himself risking life and neck for the new recruits and often in turn losing a friend or well known officer in his ranks.

• 1550 - 1554 (The Great Cleansing) :

During what would be called the great cleansing was a short four year period of bloodshed. Daichi at this time had under his command a large battalion compromised of both Garou(Werewolves) and Kinfolk(Human ("Wolf" blooded)). He was assigned the task by the given elders at the time to hold a key location in Kyoto against the Black Spiral Dancers(A Werewolf tribe tainted by the worm). This entire period Daichi gained great renown and praise for his heroics on the field repelling the invaders time and time again with minimum casualties. The last years Daichi organized a full scale assault on the black spirals encampment pushing them out to sea. It was a success he pushed them back and watched as nature culled the ones that fled in terror as the sea engulf their ships , thunder and lightning setting ablaze sails. ((This might yes not sound heroic but these creatures are vile and pure evil and share neither pity nore remorse and threaten life on the grandest of scales)).

Also at the end of the campaign against the Black Spiral Dancers he fell in love with a woman(kinfolk) that served under his command "Sakura" and they happily wed the both of them. During that day Daichi hoped finally he could finally settle down and have a family , however more things loomed on the horizon

• 1556 (Daichi dives into Hell):

after a honeymoon , Sakura and Daichi settled down in his families estate. Daichi got what he wanted a family , two girls and one boy. However He often had to deal with matters of estate and lordship before his family. and the latest concern was villagers disappearing and dimensional tears appearing on the outskirts of the village and hideous creatures terrorizing the countryside. Sadly any chance of settling down that year for Daichi went down the drain due to this concern. Daichi went to investigate to find Hell had been bleeding into the mortal realm.

Daichi Knew by then the horrors of such things and organized plan to drive these demons back into the tears and then seal them. However he asked for the village shamans blessing and a scroll with blueprints for a Very special blade. this blade was designed to cull the wicked however he constructed it hastily and forgot a specific component to finish it. However time was running short and Daichi had to act , he successfully managed to repel the demonic invaders and sent them back to once they came , however they captured one of Daichi's recruits at the time. Instead of allowing this recruit to fall to the foul demons he organized a rescue party for this recruit compromised of seven members.

Daichi was the only one with recruit in two who walked outside of the portal the came through as it shut , unscathed and untouched by Hell. The Recruit however suffered greatly from its madness and was severely wounded. Thus raising a great question , How did Daichi resist its warping and corruption? however that question was never answered and only Daichi knows why. The sword also gained some strange properties as well some claiming it almost has a divine aura about it.

Whatever happened there that year remains a mystery that only Daichi knows the answer to. This however gained him the title and renown as a Kagemusha (Shadow - Warrior)

• 1559 (The Burning):

three years later after that incident the very same recruit became a good friend of Daichi. the scarring from Hell never healed , for three years Daichi had a fairly relaxed period in which he could actually be what he wanted to be at the time, a father. during this time he could also enjoy his favorite pastimes when he was a child , Fishing and hunting. He did it once each week , getting a big game or a bunch of fish and brought it home to the family. However one day he was out hunting and came back to find the village in flames.

With Villagers panicked , and his troops scattered he quickly organized a counter attack to repel the assailants from his village. It was a success but a Pyrrhic victory it was , the villagers were all safe but their houses demolished most of the "samurai" were reluctant enough to be around Daichi's estate and above all the Shrine was desecrated. The Artifacts and scrolls were saved but the shrine was no more save the stone that was on the shrines roof.

Only more loss awaited him when he returned to his house in flames , the fire was immediately put out however the damage was done. His wife died in from the lack of oxygen in the room however the children were thankfully evacuated out. Daichi's heart broke at the loss of his lover and also blames himself still for her demise.

There was a funeral for Sakura's passing thus leaving Daichi to be both a mother and a father to the children.

• 1560 (Daichi's Death):

in the final days nothing is fully certain as to how and why all these events occurred. The Elders offered Daichi a chance to step down from his post and choose a temporary successor so he can take care of his children and morn the loss of his wife. but Daichi being stubbornly loyal to his code he's sworn to uphold asked that he stay his post until one of his children was old enough to bear the mantel themselves.

The Elders trusted Daichis judgement and did not argue over the detail. However the recruit Daichi saved four years ago did. He insulted him calling him "a selfish power hungry tyrant" and then challanged him to a duel in the shadow realm. (not to be confused with the Qliphotic realm) The duel was short and brutal , Daichi was the victory and as law stated he held his friends honor and life in his hands. Instead of finishing him off Daichi spared him , his friend losing all honor and respect from the village for that insult.

No one knows how Daichi knew this but some claim he gained clairvoyance from his travels in the spirit world as well as the Qliphotic realm. However no one is certain about this and again only Daichi knows , but he knew that the same friend he saved and now spared from death was going to come to him at night and murder him in his sleep in an attempt to coup him out of his post.

Daichi the night before he was slain , he prepared a spell on his blade that bound his soul to it. The spell required him to leave his mortal coil in which his friend's betrayal so happily provided with. It wasn't long that the village found him dead in his bed with the sword ran right through his heart. The Village mourned Daichi's death for months and his sword and duties were given to his children. Just exactly as he had planned.

from there on in Daichi lived on through his family (Quite literally) training them and protecting them. As well as upholding the duties he had in his life alive. His friend however suffered a terrible fate at the hands of the village's wrath. the name is never given only Daichi knows his name and it will never be spoken again lest it bring dishonor to the families name.

to this day in japan most Garou try to uphold Daichi's ideals.

1561 - 1889 : End of an era

• (1561 - 1789) Peaceful times and Knowledge Seeking:

Before the start of the 1800's Daichi for once actually had time to settle down with his family , sure he was dead but he still watched over them through the blade. Each family member followed the same routine soon as they became of age they inherited Daichi's blade and duties. He taught them everything they needed to know while at the same time seeking tutelage himself from others to improve his teaching skills.

He also became fascinated with the arcane and seeked wisdom as well to improve his elemental mastery . However his village did not contain such knowledge so once again he seeked this knowledge for himself. often times stepping outside of the village consulting mages and magicians alike in neighboring villages. This took several years for him to master and comprehend , commanding spirits is one thing but taking them and performing full manipulation of physical reality is another thing entirely. Also another thing to this day he still studies spells and their mechanics as well but unbeknownst to the heirs.

He found magic a very fickle thing even with what he did even though it was geomancy was considered primal sorcery in a sense. He also kept most of his knowledge to spells at a minimum often times only sticking to ones that fit his code of conduct being a shield first and foremost. However there was at least one time however where he did nearly self-defense'd a demon to death with non lethal spells. Also however he did keep alot of this knowledge underwraps namely because the villagers were afraid of such knowledge and didn't understand or comprehend how it works.

Daichi knew though that darker days loomed on the horizon and he had to be prepared for anything and now that he (quite literally) lives through his family line he must prepare them too.

• (1800 - 1889) The fall of the Feudal world and the end of the samurai:

at the dawn of the 1800's foreigners began to travel to Japan offering trade and influence in cultures. Japan was effected by this change everywhere, some didn't like the foreigners on their soil one bit , others welcomed them with open arms. Daichi was one of the few that welcomed the travelers with open arms learning their languages and cultures and offering them the same in return. However his village became more and more closed in and often did not like outsiders beyond their own countrymen , and even then if they weren't Garou or Kinfolk the gates would still be shut.

Daichi as the years went by he saw the world he once knew dissolve and scatter to the winds as cherry blossoms. No longer were people he knew had dignity , honor and respect for one another , all it was is either business or war. The Samurai , the code he lived by also vanished as well along with the Garou and Kinfolk whom once upheld the ideals he once stood for. Their Children's , children forgetting who they were and how proud they should be of their forefathers actions against the wyrm. The village had such a contradiction to their rules once offering all outsiders protection against the wyrm in exchange for offering their arms as well when the time came. Now to shutting their doors to everyone and vanishing from mans eyes to be never seen again.

Daichi with a heavy heart became disgusted with the country he once knew and loved he could not bear to look upon her face anymore. Never had he felt so alien and alone the only comfort being his family welcoming him back with heir in tow each time. He then realized that staying in Japan is not the best idea for everyone and planned a means to leave Japan to what the foreigners called America. In hopes for a fresh start and possibly some seclusion for once so he can partake in training his heirs in peace. Japan even then had plenty of heroes to take care of her in his wake. Also once again the Japan he once knew no longer existed so why bother with a country he no longer had any stake in.

He split his family some coming with him to stow away on a boat with some of the former shrines artifacts and scrolls in tow. The ship was heading to America hopefully it is a land that the foreigners promised would be exactly as they said it was. A land of hope and dreams .... before he said his farewells he prepared a memory spell to hide the memories of where the village and his extended family is located from himself. Soon as they were on the boat and away the spell kicked in , for him it is for the best if he doesn't remember only for the sake of their safety.

1900 - Modern day : Daichi as of Now

• (1900) Settling in:

its been roughly a year now since Daichi came to America. The Ship he smuggled away on landed him and the family that came with him in Florida. They also had papers already forged at the time as well to allow them into America unscathed. Daichi's Settled into what is now Paragon city , Rhode Island Daichi , made use of this time to study more on the arcane abilities he picked up in japan along with brushing up on his Geomancy and also now dabbling a little in alchemy. This went on until the 30's then the depression hit by then and everyone felt it on ever level.

• (1930 - WWII) : AKA why Daichi hates WMD's

When The Depression hit Daichi went underground and off the grid, However he knew a good amount of Garou tribes there and lived out of their safehouses. It wasn't until the very end of the depression his family decided to actually move into a house and turn that said house into a japanese antique and novelty shop. However as usual Daichi and his heirs did their duties however also at this point they took up vigilantism roughing up criminals in the streets. Also working out of soup shops and other places that were to offer to the homeless and needy. This typical routine was something familiar to Daichi , helping out the less fortunate and protecting the innocent even if they don't deserve it.

However later on war lingered on the horizon and the country Daichi now lived in needed his aid. He heard the news that horrid day of pearl harbor , it disgusted him hearing his former country men now fully drowning into their war like tendencies and creating havoc for everyone. Of course he signed up , however it wasn't he himself who did , but his heir. The heir at that time was eighteen and also got a lot , and I mean alot of flack for his heritage. Also he was insulted and harassed several times about the Giant Odachi the heir had carrying around. Funny how during night ops missions when everything hit the fan the heir called upon Daichi and his squadmates got a glimpse as to why he shouldn't be trifled with.

Later on Daichi once again was on his country's soil only for a few months. He shed blood of his fellow country men those days only to see what was the horrors of what is Project Manhattan. Those two bombs that were droped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima hearing about the devastation and seeing footage first hand of the destruction the atomic fires caused. Daichi felt sick that day , he found that not only was fighting for men's ambitions but his own , and saw first hand at his butchery. He despised WMD's (Weapons of mass destruction) from this day forward for their destructive properties that practically tear the earth asunder doing so.

Surprisingly enough they offered his heir a chance to serve again , but he out of Daichis wishes stepped down and returned to America to his family. Never again after this did he serve in any other war that America took place in war was hell and he's lived in that hell for far too long. However the later years to this point got better but thats another story .....
