Childhood

Palmer was born in a small town in Wyoming (really, all the towns are pretty damn small there). The total population was barely 15,000 people at the time. He had the standard childhood. Grew up with his parents Gloria and Jamison, had two dogs and a cat. Both of his parents were skiers and he took to the snow like a fish to water. He started snowboarding when he was six. By the time he was twelve he had already started to enter tournaments in both slalom and half pike. Throwing big air wasn’t his specialty (he was no slouch), so he ended up training more and more in the racing aspect of the sport before eventually moving over to boarder-cross.
