A Family Secret

Spoiler warning: Details about a player-created storyline, or information currently unrevealed about a character, follow.

Tim Tetherson received the Aaron Power that allows him to transform into the villain now known as Ahreman the Red from his grandfather, William Tetherson. Unlike the majority of his bloodline, William was an inherently good man and did his best to never use the dark power after the first time he transformed and realized it's nature. William kept the power a secret from everyone but his wife, Madeline.

A Hidden Plan

Unknown to the rest of her family, Maddy Tetherson set about planning for the return of the villainous family secret, as she knew her husband wouldn’t live forever. Something of a technical expert, she worked with several close friends at DATA over the years to develop a specialized power armor. Her plan was to give the power armor to a younger female (as historical records showed a connection between the Aaron Power and Tetherson males) so they could fight against Red Aaron when the time came.

However, Maddy was only able to get as far as boots, gauntlets and a belt by the time she reached her senior years. Having kept an eye her young niece Michelle, and deciding she had proved herself as a good person, (if somewhat oblivious) Maddy set it up in her will that on her 21st birthday, Michelle would receive a locked box containing the gauntlets and belt and instructions for their use. Upon Michelle successfully proving herself with the equipment, Maddy's friends in DATA were instructed to provide her with the boots.

But Maddy Tetherson died unexpectedly before she was able to instruct her scientist friends on how to build the rest of the armor pieces, or to tell Michelle exactly why she was going to receive the armor.

Spoilers end here.

Plan B

Michelle Tetherson received the locked box on her birthday as planned. After initially believing the odd gifts to be a mistake, out of pure curiosity she decided to experiment and see what they could do. Discovering the flame throwers built into the gauntlets by accidentally destroying her TV in the middle of her favorite reality TV show “Paragon's Next SUPERModel,” Michelle, for the first time in her life, took a step back from the situation to think about what to do.

Inspiration

First things first, Michelle began looking into buying a new TV. Browsing various websites, she came across an ad for the long awaited first season DVD release of her younger brothers favorite reality-game-show hybrid Super Troopers. Inspired by the nearly forgotten young superheroes who were the focus of the show, the Gemuse Force, and the star of the show, Strawberry Trooper, but still regretting not being able to see firsthand who was eliminated from the running for the next superhero Supermodel, Michelle knew what she was going to do.

The New Direction

After practicing with the timely gifts from her grandmother (who Michelle decided was now her favorite late relative for giving her the chance to fulfill her dream) she decided she was ready. With her winning personality, stunning looks, and expert fashion sense, the gifts from her grandmother were the last piece of the puzzle. Taking the codename Bombshell Girl, Michelle made her way to Paragon City to become the next superhero Supermodel.

Powers

Bombshell girl currently has access to the belt and gauntlets designed by Madeline Tetherson to combat the villain known as Ahreman the Red. These items have a number of built in weapon systems; flamethrowers as a primary form of offense, a variety of non-lethal grenades, and various assistant drone launchers.

Trivia

((-UPDATE 3- This is Bombshell Girl 5.0, as I've been re-rolling her until I come up with powersets I'm happy with. Blaster Energy Blast doesn't sync up thematically enough with anything. The light and sound show of a Controller didn't work out either. The more I thought about it, the character concept worked if BG was non-lethal in her methods. Hooowever, I wasn't paying attention to the two invisibility powers at the time, and becoming invisible goes against BG's very nature. So, we're back to Fire, as I keep thinking of that when I think of "bombshell" anyway. Fire Armor fits, sorta, in the sense that it's, well, a glass tank in this case. She can do damage, but she'll still get smacked silly while doing it. Well, now I have other plans for the FA/SS Tanker, so it's back to Fire Blast. And I do like the gag that she needs a targeting system to use a flamethrower. ^_^

-UPDATE 2- Unlike the majority of my characters, Bombshell Girl wasn't inspired by any existing character. I was initially trying for a name like the Blue Bombshell, and after some trial and error, something reminded me of LEGION style names, and I was -shocked- Bombshell Girl was available. Been trying to flesh out a character since as I love the name. ))
