According to fables, in 1809 tomb raiders discovered a temple in the depths of the Sahara desert. They entered the temple in order to plunder its riches to find a large statue just inside the entrance. As they pillaged, the statue began to move and swiftly kill the intruders. It then marched out of the ruined temple and began to wander the world.
Sometime around the early 1940's the temple was rediscovered as a ruin and many texts were found and somewhat translated. They give reference to a 'guardian from beyond' which was supposed to protect the temple for all time. Carbon dating places the temple and texts at around 40,000 B.C. Some odd metals were also found to be present in the temple: white gold, brass, unobtainium, vibrantium, and a host of other elements not known to exist on Earth, even now.
It is a remarkable example of craftsmanship, superb in its reflexes, undaunted in its purpose. If it were only capable of speech it might tell us much about our past.

Virtually nothing is known about it. It could be alien, created by an ancient race, or thrown together from spare parts at a junk yard. Basically, all anyone has been able to ascertain is that it is old, strong, loyal, and one tough creature.
It has been taken into the ranks of the Justice Corps. (currently #4 on Virtue!) and worked its way to 3rd in command. It has had severe damage resulting in a complete rebuild of its body and the joking installation of a Speak 'N Spell for its voice box by Torch Light.
It does not go out of its way to find trouble unless it is bored. It seems to enjoy viewing the variety of creatures that have come to populate Paragon City. It can often be found crouched in low-lying areas watching passers by. It will also occasionally stand around maintaining peace. When it's not busy killing everything, that is.
There are currently no known persons with vendettas against it.
There are a few people who have approached it and attempted communication. Most of its speech is through actions. Those actions are usually tearing through mobs of villains in the defense of the team. It has joined the ranks of the Justice Corps. where it currently holds the rank of Major.
