PESONALITY

Dom DeNoir is incredibly intelligent and possesses strength, agility, and athleticism that is far beyond human capacity. His physical attributes, coupled with his ability to command massive concentrations of dark magic make him a very powerful being, and a force to be recconed with in Paragon City.

Dom is of demonic origin, but is very well versed in Primal Earth customs and behaviours. He is quick witted, often sarcastic and overly empathetic, but clearly incincere. He comes off being quite polite and friendly, often very diplomatic and and unbiased but many people feel a certain uneasiness around him, and fear that he has something to hide.

Dom has become an authority on magical forces in Paragon City, and his studies have granted him a total mastery of the english language. He is famous for getting into the heads of those he targets, and prefers a very sophisticated form of mental warfare long before ever displaying his more violent powers.

HISTORY/BACKGROUND

Dom's history is that of violence, conflict, and war. He was born into a family of power and was made heir to the throne of a bloody kingdom at a very young age. Dom belongs to the DeNoir family, and by rights, is of demonic descent. In this form of Hell, demons are much more human-like in appearance, and exhibit traits very similar to humans.

This dimension was home to four more royal families, who were constantly at war for power; but the DeNoir family kept their rule strong. Dom, while growing up, was trained to be a warrior like his father, as well as a mage, like his father. It would be the first time that a male was trained in magic and it would produce one of the most dangerous beings that they had ever seen. Dom wanted to be more powerful than any other living being in the dimension, and that included his father. Dom would always argue that his aging father was too relaxed in his rule, and that he would someday take his place as ruler.

Eventually, Dom would amass a small army in hopes of taking the throne from his father. Borrowing rogue warriors from his own troops, as well as exiles and traitors from other royal families, Dom would march into his father's palace and challenge his father for the rule of Hell.

Dom's father, Lucius DeNoir, would prove much too powerful in battle as he quickly disarmed his own son. Instead of killing the traitorous offspring, Lucius would gather his most powerful clerics in hopes that they could seal away the growing potential within his son. Lucius knew that he was lucky in defeating his own son this time, and the time would eventually come when Dom would fully master his powers.

Lucius watched as the clerics performed a ritual around his fallen son. They decided to lock his powers away in a fist sized gem before carying him off to his personal mansion. Using magical sigils and runes on the mansion, the clerics were able to imprison Dom and his small army of followers within the building. The gem was placed inside the mansion as well, its power contributing to keeping Dom from escaping.

The last course of action, was for the clerics to create a small pocket dimension to trap the mansion in. Dom was seemingly trapped for eternity as punishment for his actions until about five years ago when he crash landed in the Hollows through a tiny portal. He was quickly surrounded by heroes from a young super group, the Justice Armada. Because Dom had been brooding in his anger for centuries, he quickly lept to action, slaughtering the heroes that tried to contain him. Dom had already taken the lives of many nearby Trolls, Outcasts and PPD troops before the heroes were able to arrive, and with each casualty, his powers increased.

The fight that ensued would eventually cause all traffic to and from the Hollows to be restricted in hopes to contain Dom. The Justice Armada fought bravely, but almost all members were killed in the process. Captain Galaxy - Leader of the Justice Armada - Deceased. Redhawke - 2nd In Command - Deceased. Harrier - Deceased. Starchaser - Deceased. Freeway - Deceased. Insignia - Currently in a coma caused by Dom's evil magic. Located in Steel Canyon's Medical Center. The Highwayman - Currently in a highly secure solitary confinement cell at the Zig. Mental state is very unstable and violent due to manipulation from Dom. Arthur Kingston - Active Hero Licence. Tetrion - Active Hero Licence.

Official reports claim that Arthur Kingston and Tetrion were eventually able to defeat Dom DeNoir thanks to an evolution in the Tetrion armor. The dark energies from Dom's body fueled the Tetrion armor and launched Kyle MacWilliams into a rage that resulted in Tetrion being able to break many of Dom's bones through sheer, brute force. Kyle, still suffering from the loss of his friends, swiftly broke Dom DeNoir's neck before tossing his lifeless body into an abandoned apartment building, and using a massive energy attack to bring the building down around him.

Dom DeNoir was confirmed dead on site, after his body was recovered from the ruins. Kyle MacWilliams was convicted of murder, but would later prove his case, justifying his actions and receiving a full pardon. Kyle decided that he would maintain a close watch on the coordinates from the other side of the portal, afraid that there were more like Dom that were waiting to invade. The pocket dimension that contained Dom's mansion would see no activity until recently when a man named Dom DeNoir was granted a full Hero Licence from Atlas Park's City Hall.

POWERS

Dom is unlike most of his kind due to being trained in wielding dark magics as well as being expertly trained by the finest warriors in his father's kingdom. Even simply his demonic heritage make him far more capable than most heroes and can prove to be a handful to even a well trained team. His physical strength allows him to display terrifying feats, and his athleticism and agility allow him to nimbly dodge most forms of attack on his person. His incredible intelligence makes him a crafty fighter, and his experience from countless wars in his home dimension make him a very savvy combatant. His ability with dark magics allow him to invade his targets with an overwhelming sense of pain. His attacks make nerve endings course with agony, while your brain feels as if it is on fire. His mastery of dark magic allows him flight, teleportation over short distances, and an infinite possibility for growth.

It is important to know that the Obsidian Eye (The gem that has his powers sealed within it) Contains over 3/4 of Dom's power. The Clerics have taken measures to ensure that he can never draw the power from within it, but it has recently gone missing, turning up within the Circle of Thorns. The power of the Obsidian Eye are catastrophic, and have been known to trigger a physical change in its victims, as well as a dramatic increase in ability. The Palladium Sentry have recently published a report saying that they have witnesses claiming to have seen Circle Of Thorns mages under the influence of the Eye. The mages were transformed into twisted, jagged, and maniacal fiends. We can only hope that the Sentry can retrieve the Obsidian Eye, and prevent its use moving forward.
