Dynamite Girl was conceived out of a desire to play a young, impulsive girl capable of throwing Buicks.

She is slightly Hulk inspired, but only on a very basic (SMASH!) level.

Personality

Dinah is a fairly stereotypical 17 year old girl from most observations. She gets bored easily, likes to be the center of attention, and is very exuberant. She would be considered naive by anyone who had spent a reasonable amount of time in the "real world" outside of high school and typical family life.

She does have some abnormalities: she has a constant need to prove herself, likely stemming from the absence of her mother, and a need to live up to what she considers to be her father's high expectations (he really just expects her to be a good person, is all).

She also has some tomboyish interests, again likely stemming from her desire to please her father. She is very interested in mechanics and explosives, as these are the areas of her father's expertise.

Dinah is awed by fame and authority, but at the same time is unlikely to follow orders if she finds them boring or disagrees with them.

Dinah's primary motivation as a superhero is to prove to everyone that she's not "just a girl", and to live up to her father's expectations and help fulfill his desire to change the world for the better.

Powers

Dynamite Girl's body is a living energy battery. She can absorb and use this energy in the following ways:

Physical Augmentation

Dynamite Girl hits like TNT

Superhuman Strength

The easiest and most efficient use of Dynamite Girl's power reserve is to enhance her physical strength. Consequently, this is her most noticable power.

This, combined with her extremely low weight, allows her to leap incredible distances.

Superhuman Healing

Dinah can use her energy reserves to repair her cells, even subconsciously. Under extreme conditions, she can heal wounds as quickly as they are made, though this is very taxing on her energy supply.

A side effect of this ability is a vastly reduced aging process.

Superhuman Reflexes

One of the physical attributes Dynamite Girl can amplify is her reflexes, enabling her to dodge blows, and even bullets.

Superhuman Endurance

Dynamite Girl is capable of sustaining extreme physical activity for extended periods, fueled by her vast reserves of energy.

Superhuman Resilience

As a side effect of her ability to store large quantities of energy, Dinah's cellular structure has adapted to be several times stronger than a normal human being in order to contain that energy. This allows her to take concussive impacts that would kill the average human.

Energy Substitution

Dynamite Girl is capable of using her power reserve to substitute for normal human needs.

Reduced Physical Dependencies

Dinah has little need for food, and can survive on one meal a week if she has other means of energy available. Her water needs are somewhat more frequent, but still greatly reduced when compared with a normal human being. She is capable of going without oxygen for long periods of time, again dependent upon other means of available energy. She also only needs to sleep for a total of around 8 hours a week.

Ability to Survive in Extreme Environments

She can use her energy reserves to keep her warm in extreme cold, and can absorb ambient energy to allow her to survive in extreme heat or highly radiactive environments. Her increased cellular reinforcement and ability to quickly repair and replace damaged cells allows her to survive in low or high pressure environments indefinitely, as well as a vacuum for long periods, depending on how much energy she has stored, and available energy sources.

Energy Absorption

All of her energy has to come from somewhere. She is capable of using ambient radiation, food, and raw energy such as electricity to replenish her reserves. She is also, to a limited extent, able to absorb energy directed at her in the form of attacks.

Abilities

Demolitions and Structural Knowledge

John Deckard loves to describe his work to people, especially his daughter. He's spent most of her life working for demolitions companies, and as a result, Dinah knows a great deal about demolitions and how to (or not to) demolish buildings and other structures.

Basic Mechanics

Dinah is a bit of a tomboy, and spends some of her free time working on old cars.

Weaknesses and Limitations

As Dynamite Girl, Dinah feels less inhibited by society's expectations of a young girl, resulting in many aspects of her personality coming out in a more extreme manner. This tends to be less than advantageous.

Naive

Dinah is only 17 years old, and is relatively new to crimefighting. She was somewhat sheltered by her father, making her idealistic and naive.

Reckless

Dinah has the tendency to be "in the moment", which can prevent her from seeing the big picture or noticing dangers outside of what she is focused on. This recklessness is not due to a lack of caring, but rather a lack of awareness on her part.

Easily Provoked

Dinah has always wanted to prove that she is more than "just a girl". Villains often take advantage of this by goading her into fights and distracting her from their real goals.

Character History

Dinah Deckard is the daughter of a brilliant scientist who was recently contracted by a demolition company to create more effective and precise explosives. After much research and experimentation, he developed a machine capable of increasing the potential energy of explosive materials by supercharging their subatomic components.

The night before her father planned to reveal his invention, Dinah snuck into his lab to see what he was so proud of. Fumbling for the light switch in the darkness, Dinah accidentally activated the machine as she was standing on the target platform.

After a great deal of pain and an explosion that left the entire lab in ruins, Dinah and her father discovered that using the machine on a human resulted in nearly limitless reserves of power, able to be converted to kinetic energy or cellular reinforcement and reconstruction.

John Deckard's advice to his daughter was to use her newfound abilities to the greatest good possible, and suggested that she go to Paragon City to serve as a professional crimefighter. She agreed, and shortly after registering, was invited to the Liberty League by Captain Meteor.
