Origin: TL;DR Edition

The Ethereal Unearthly Electro Spectre wasn't always special - in fact, he was quite the opposite. Through a series of events of ambiguous beneficence, he was slain in a horrific super-speeding accident, never to be heard from again. At least, never to be heard from again as Alan Godeaux the boring auditor with absolutely nothing remarkable about him.

Emerging from a warehouse in Atlas park after watching his reformation, Alan emerged as one of the few-but-great successful experiments of the Kaini Corporation. However, their NeverDie™ technology was banned by the FDA after significant picketing of "Right to Die" groups.

Alan is aware of just how much he looks like a robot, but he knows in his heart he isn't, mostly for the simple fact that he possesses a heart of any kind, even if it is a horrific SynthoMeat™ organ mockup. He is a cyborg, save for the fact that all organics are synthetically manufactured and the only human element was forcefully shoved into the titanic simulacrum by a handful of skilled mages.

Personality

Alan was a little laissez-faire about life before, but his transition to heroics has, strangely enough, increased it. He lucked out of a boring life into a life of heroics, and while he feels some slight obligation to better the world, it's really not much of an issue for him. Couple this with the hospital network, powerful allies and the fact that he escaped death, and he'll gleefully run into a very angry crowd of anything and not care too much about whether or not he dies.

His feelings on the subject of heroic duty have changed somewhat with the return of the Rikti, but he still maintains a very casual stance on "being good". After all, he's been hired as a horrific cyborg-undead vigilante, sent out to "arrest" the foes of the city with blinding, psychological damage and the elements. If the opportunity arises, Alan figures he may well love going rogue.

Powers

Æther Wind Manipulation

Alan's remarkable ability to control something that does not, in fact, exist is predicated on two things: Kaini's handful of skilled mages' inserting a reality-bending manifest into Alan's core makeup, and the fact that Alan himself carried over a little bit of Unreality into the world after he was brought back to life. His manipulation of æther winds also differs remarkably from the contemporary definition of such: in place of setting subatomic particles off track, he's capable of throwing mass quantities of anything off track, allowing him to create beings of pure energy, modify physical properties and any number of other things.

The bottom line: The Electro Spectre can kick time and space around to make it do his bidding. He puts this to use for his Microparticle Manipulation, as well as his localised weather control, flight, dimensional recall and associated phantasms.

Microparticle Manipulation

Stemming largely from his æther wind manipulation, Alan is fine with not bending reality with created loopholes in reality's rules. He is capable of utilising single atoms and molecules to create a variety of effects, from localised and blinding explosions to stunning bursts of thunder.

Alan also uses this aspect of his powers to create his late-blooming heat manipulation effects.

Postmortem Terror Amplification

Resurrected though he may be, Alan's spirit still retains a core of all the emotion he felt upon dying. Alan is capable of using his reality-bending powers to insert temporary "cores" of these emotions into his phantasm manifestations, granting them a semblance of intelligence and allowing them to induce terror in his foes.

Alan jokingly refers to his most powerful phantasm as "The Choir Invisible", part of a euphemism for being dead.

Weaknesses

Despite his titanic frame, Alan is not at all tough. Save for the innate regenerative properties of his newer SynthoMeat™-infused bodies, there's nothing any more remarkable about his pain tolerance than most people. All the filling that matters in his various bodies is 85% non-durable electronics and 15% non-durable organic-based energy generation systems. Also, even though he received an upgrade to his synthetic circulatory system, he still runs very low on energy while sustaining the brunt of his powers. One of his heat manipulation abilities serves to correct this, but it is not often available.
