Personality

Fenris' temper is rather short

The Fenris Project is obediant and protective due to his extensive training but if he detects any fear or submission from his handler he will kill them. With this aggression he is always ready to fight, and has been known to hold grudges against certain enemies for a very long time, ignoring all orders and attacking them on sight.

Character History

A Council Experiment

For many years the Council tried to remove the human form from the DNA of the warwolves. It was believed that this would unlock the true potential of these fearsome creatures. They grew closer and closer to their goal until finally they produced a litter of pure warwolves. They were larger, more powerful, and extremely vicious. The largest of the litter was picked out and raised solely by members of the Council. Intense excersizes and a scientifically balanced diet along with hormone and steroid injections made him grow larger, stronger, and more aggressive. Lacking the human intellect of his hybrid counterparts, the Fenris Project would grow too dominant and become just as dangerous to the Council as anyone else. It was obvious a two part plan was needed.

And They Call It Puppy Love

A special detachment of "Handlers" was created to give the Warwolf orders. They were trained to not show any sign of fear of the large beast and to channel his destructive power against the Council's enemies. Fenris was taught to obey the Council insignia, recognizing anyone wearing it as an ally. This coupled with a warwolf whistle is how he recognizes someone as a Handler he will take orders from.

With Handler Vs. Without

While the Fenris Project is cunning he is of animal intelligence. The Handler's main purpose is to direct the Fenris Project in a tactically intelligent manner. Without an intelligent mind to guide his wrath he can be outsmarted.

Super Strength

While exact numbers are difficult to calculate, he has displayed great feats of strength. On more than one occasion while outnumbered by several powerful heroes or villains the Fenris Project has readily held his ground. He has lifted a variety of things to throw at the Council's enemies including boulders and large vehicles.

Invulnerability

Regular bullets bounce off of his thick hide. Missiles have failed to make him falter in step. His fur has even been shown to be fire resistant. It is difficult to hurt him, but possible.

Super Leaping

An example of his immense strength he can spring with his hind legs powerfully, propelling his hulking mass through the air effortlessly.

Minor abilities

Not only is he an invulnerable class villain, but he also has mild regenerative abilities, making him all the more dangerous. Despite his size he moves very quickly. While not in a superspeed class, his deceptive frame moves at a frightening pace. Many heroes have fallen victim to him thinking they could get away from what seemed like a lumbering monster.

Vulnerabilities

The Fenris Project is not without his weaknesses. Without a Handler he can be tricked or led into a trap. He can also be distracted from one enemy to another if the other angers him enough. This is not an advised tactic! Making him angrier only seems to fuel his rage and can send him into a berserker mode where he does immense amounts of damage and ignoring all wounds.

Being of an animal mind he is weak against psychic attacks. Psychic attacks can disorient or render unconscious.

Rogue Gallery

Fenris and Frost square off.

Detective Scott Frost: A hero who has earned a high place on the Fenris Project's list of people he has a grudge against. He earned it in a fight in Boomtown with his taunting and when he pulled on his ears.

Maggie Riley: A small girl who he considers a runt, has evaded his attempts to kill her while hitting him with dozens of arrows and explosives.

Jai Revanant: A woman with armor impossible for him to bite through or claw off, he is infuriated by her indestructibility and her claws, which have been one of the few things to make him bleed.
