Forge started as a generic non RP character back when I first started the game around Issue 1 and got played on and off for years. Since server transfers are now available I thought it was high time I reworked his history and brought him to Virtue.

Character History
In the year 1930, while on a dig on a small volcanic island off the coast of Greece, amateur adventurer and archaeologist Jacob Hawke's life changed forever. The volcano that had formed the island erupted suddenly causing a massive earthquake. Falling through a newly opened fissure Jacob found himself before the entrance of a long abandoned temple, seeking shelter inside he saw at the temple's center a massive ruby sitting on a pedestal. When he picked it up crimson light enveloped him and he was filled with knowledge. This was the Vulcan's ruby, an ancient and powerful artifact infused with the essence of a god. Jacob was instantly imbued with the power and knowledge of the god Hephaestus. He was granted great strength, agelessness, and the ability to summon and command the fires of the forge. He became The Forgemaster, and traveled far and wide fighting injustice in its many forms, now he has at last returned to Paragon City, to fight alongside the world’s greatest heroes.
Personality
Jacob is a man whose personality is a combination of a human and a god, over their many years they have blended together almost completely, though in some situations he may act more like one than the other. From Jacob comes the daring, bravery, and innovative aspects of his personality that served him well during his years as a treasure hunter. However a combination of his long years of life, and the unfaltering nature of the god of the forge has made him a very stubborn and unwavering person. He is not quick to anger, but when properly riled his fury can be a sight to behold. He seldom rushes into things and prefers to plan out all of his actions, his very long lifespan allows him to make plans years in advance.
Powers
Forgemaster's powers come from the divine nature of the god of the forge, transferred to him from the Vulcan's ruby.
Forge Fire
Jacob has the power to summon the fires of the forge of Hephaestus. He uses the fire to shield himself and to strike down his enemies. He also uses the fire for more conventional means while forging magic weapons and items for other heroes.
Agelessness
The very powers that make the Gods of Olympus the Gods of Olympus, he does not age, does not get sick, and has great strength.
Abilities
The god Hephaestus imbued Jacob not only with powerful abilities but also with great knowledge.
Magical Affinity
Being infused with the divine, Forgemaster has the ability to recognize many spells.
Master Smith
Being the avatar god of the forge, Jacob is a master smith. He has the ability to create potent magical items on contract for those he deems worthy. He also has an encyclopedic knowledge of magical artifacts and can recognize most on sight.
