A young woman knocked on June Harris’ door at roughly 3 in the morning. The old woman wasn’t startled at the knock, but she was almost floored when she opened the door. Standing before her in a 1940’s era US Army uniform was herself, at least a younger version of herself from a different time. June’s niece was sound asleep in the other room, she was tempted to wake the girl to tell her the truth, but June decided against it…For now.
It is unknown how this version of Freedom Franny has entered our timestream.
Enlistment Date: June 15th, 1942.
Candidate 984 was brought in as a subject for the Section 4 Freedom Project: A combination of a modified “solider improvement” serum and a recently unburied mystical broadsword. When it was discovered the sword required a user with a unique psionic profile, Section 4 (controversially) expanded its search to include Women's Auxiliary Army Corp members. All of her pre-enlistment records were destroyed when she was recruited for the Project, but some eager historians have speculated her pre-enlistment job was as a teletypist in the WAAC Signal Corp, possibly either Stateside or in Europe.
The nature of Section 4 was classified top secret; however, we do know it was formed as part of an American response to the "Occult Defense Act" which was a classifed/unlisted(The document only publicly having three sections) section of the Declaration by the United Nations signed on January 1st, 1943 during The Acadia Conference in Washington DC. This was the first official document solidifying the Allies efforts against the rising Nazi occult and Meta-Human threats.
Freedom Franny has seen and fought it all! Robots? Monsters! Nazis!...Robot Monster Nazis? She's ready for Anything!
She always hated the name "Freedom Franny," but was constantly told it was a moral booster among the troops.

Trivia
- Claims to only have fired her 1911a1 pistol once during the entirety of World War II to disable a Nazi trap during the Battle of the Black Forest, an act which supposedly saved Statesman's life. This might be an exaggeration...
- Has recently been contacted by Namco to be a playable character in Soulcalibur V....At first, Franny declined...until Laura explained what a video game was.....
- Was approached to appear on the reality show "Strictly Heroes Dancing." She declined.
- May have been the first American GI to asked for watered down espresso during the occupation of Italy, leading to the drink known as the Americano. This has yet to be verified by coffee historians.
- Favorite Movies: "The Philadelphia Story." She says this is one of the few movies she can remember from the 40's. She cannot remember when or where she first saw it. Two of her favorite "modern era" films are "Back to the Future" and "To Kill a Mockingbird." She has yet to read the book.
- Constantly breaks and/or loses her cellphones and finds most modern consumer electronics baffling.
- Despite being a "super solider" she still maintains a regular PT schedule. Fran can often be see in the Vanguard sparring room. She often runs with Mydnight. and Celestar.
- She periodically teaches at the US Army Combatives School in Fort Benning. Franny helped design part of the Combatives program to allow "regular" soldiers to engage and succeed against meta-human threats in a hand to hand scenario.
- Was contacted by Longbow to temporarily impersonate Agent Indigo while she was deep undercover. Fran was able to pick up Indigo's fighting style very quickly, but her mastery of the various hi-tech devices took a bit more time.
- Is currently stationed out of Fort Benning where she trains with the 75th Ranger Regiment. Fran teaches them "unorthodox meta human fighting" tactics while she picks up "modern combat" doctrine from the Rangers. She is a big fan of the CQB drills. Fran usually deploys with the 1st Ranger Battalion but can be assigned to the 2nd or 3rd as needed if Meta human assistance is required. She has on more than one occasion been deployed with Delta Force when they require Meta-Human assistance as she falls under the jurisdiction of the ARSOC.
- Fran has begun carrying a M9 pistol as well as her 1911a1. She has also been observed fielding one of the Rangers' new FN SCAR MK17 rifles during training missions.

- Character was first Broadsword/Super Reflexes until I got tired of running of out endurance midfight.
- Influenced by Captain America(After playing too much Marvel Ultimate Alliance, I felt like making a WWII era Patriotic Super Solider) and The Huntress from the Justice League cartoon show hence her resembling Amy Acker, who is the actress that voices The Huntress.
- Created on the Fourth of July morning. Funny for a Canadian...
- Has at least 45 different IO bonuses...and counting...At least 51 right now...
- Theme Song: A two way tie between Plumb's Damaged and Kim Richey's "Place Called Home."
- Since they have a Spartan II from the Halo series in DOA4, I thought Franny would be a good fit in Soulcalibur V because Soul is the "Weapons" Fighting Game....
