History

Born the son of Aetos and Isthid, a royal family of the reborn Sparta in the year 2300. His parents sent him back in time when he was young. Aetos and Isthid also went to the past and hid their true names from all but a select few. As Gorthid grew up he found himself very fond of a young Spartan girl, Amaranth. He tried to court her when he first became a hoplite but failed seeing as she too was a hoplite. Though it was never marked in history Amaranth had abilities that most people would have called witchcraft. With hands that produced a great energy and a natural ice armor she was always set for battle. Aetos later sent a young spartan a friend of Gorthids to kill Amaranth, Alcander. Alcander who also loved Amaranth could not find himself to do so. He helped her escape Sparta and was announced dead. Gorthid later found out from Alcander that Aetos and Isthid had told him to kill Amaranth. In his rage Gorthid killed his parents. Later that day while he was searching his fathers stuff he found a strange device that sent him to Paragon City 9 years ago.

Combat Style

Trained by his father and the Spartan military schools Gorthid mastered in all forms of melee combat and in archery. He more often then not could kill his enemies in one shot of his bow and rarely broke a sweat on the battlefield in melee combat.

Weapons

At the time Gorthid only carried one weapon at a time. This was all decided upon before he ever touched the battlefield.

Life in Paragon

Relavent Events

After arriving in Paragon City Gorthid found himself lost and astray. 9 years passed and he found himself once again amongst fellow Spartans. Training with Strom Surge, and Arte'mious he maintained his skills in combat. With his skills Hero Corp. tested him and later gave him and all Spartans hero license. Just like in the past he was once again fighting for Sparta, for freedom.

A few months later Gorthid adopted a daughter, Macy. Macy was a young hero that had been orphaned. Most know her by her hero name Semjaza. At time Gorthid found it difficult to keep her disciplined. He looks out for her even when she thinks that he is doing nothing more then trying to hold her back and prevent her from doing certain things. Teaching her the basics in dual wielding, Macy became rather adapt at using sai's. Gorthid has taught her the laws of Sparta and finds himself reteaching them to Macy every once in a while.

7 months had passed and the Spartans decided to elect a new king after the passing of the resurected Leonidas. The election was rather one sided towards Gorthid, taking almost all the votes of the Spartans to become second king. His friends Heartless Katana and Strom Surge are now his body guards, protecting him as they can.

More time passed and Gorthid found himself falling for a lovly young lady, the daughter of the queen of Troy. Cassadiah and Gorthid married 18 months after he had joined the Spartans and was crowned the second king of Sparta. Together they protect all of Sparta's soldiers and the citizens of Paragon City.

Gorthid died a mysterious death June 24, 2009. No one is fully sure what happened. It all started out with a sparring match against Red Slasher X. They later stopped by the dorms to get Macy for some training when a cut appeared on his abdomen. It had looked like Red had done the cut, the way he had his sword and how he acted after Gorthid collapsed. After Reds disappearance and Macy and Zachs attempt to revive him a large cash appeared across his neck and more of his blood appeared on Reds sword. Red was not sure what had happened himself but kept trying to wipe the blood off his sword thinking or rather knowing he would be blamed for Gorthids death.

Combat Style

Mastering in all forms of melee combat and archery Gorthid favors the broadsword, and dual gladius. However though he much prefers to be in the thick of combat with these weapons he will also use a bow for ranged combat. His marksmanship skill is just as terrifying as his swordsmanship.

Weapons

Most warriors carry one maybe two weapons but Gorthid always carries the following on him weather it be into combat or to a meeting. He likes to be prepared for anything.

Powers

Gorthid was not born with powers nor was did he gain them through an un-natural means. About a year after joining the Spartans Gorthid climbed Mount Olympus. After reaching the top and making his claim as second king of Sparta Zeus invited him into the heavens above Olympus. Gorthid spent 2 months amongst the gods. As he was leaving Mount Olympus all the gods granted him some powers.
