Origin

He arrived with the forerunners of the kheldian species to the most advanced civilization on the planet. They merged with the most prominent and powerful and eventually the natives came to think of them as gods. Dynasties of fleshbound kheldians guided and governed their human subjects for millennia, and fought bravely to protect them against the insidious Nictus.

Eons passed. The war between the Peacebringers and the Nictus reached a critical point. Horus Re, one of many falcon-headed gods of Egypt, answered the call for help from the ruler of Cimerora against dark invaders from the stars. The nictus had brought strange allies from another time and place to help them; Imperious had been approached by god-like heroes from the same period pledging their assistance.

Horus Re learned about the world of the future and decided that he would witness it with his own eyes. He followed some of Imperious' new allies and discovered the cave where they arrived and departed through the crystal of fire and ice. Nobody in the cave seemed to take note of him, mistaking him for one of the many strange creatures that passed through the crystal ever so often.

At first the crystal didn't respond to his touch but by using his mastery of quantum forces he was able to attune himself to the crystal, and finally it let him pass through time to the Midnighters' club. He made some of the mages tell him about the world until he decided that he had heard enough, and left. Even this far in the future the world was still not perfect. There was much work for him to do.

Powers

Like all Peacebringers Horus Re can manipulate quantum forces, which means that he can control energy and matter in almost any way imaginable.

Goals

Horus Re was a god in ancient Egypt. He is quite displeased with what the world has come to since then. He found many of his former friends and family now inhabiting new bodies and acting like glorified custodians, protecting a population who almost seems to take them for granted. They seemed all too content with their new position. Horus Re is most surprised with the fact that the Nictus are still a threat after all this time. His first goal is to eradicate the Nictus and possibly the Warshades as well, and then he'll see about re-establishing the faith in the Egyptian pantheon.

Enemies

The Council, a strange nihilistic cult which seems to worship his ancient Nictus enemies, are fortunately both weak and pathetic. Unfortunately they seem to have endless numbers of brainwashed foot soldiers and even monstrous Nictus experiments in their ranks. The utter destruction of the Council and their Nictus masters is his number one priority.
