Affiliations
Jax is head engineer at the Umblore Manor Academy. A school for wayward heroes attempting to escape the RHCA; a bill that threatens to be passed and ruin sup'rs as we know it. With his uncanny ability for all things technical, Jax has developed uniforms for students that help scramble the wearer from any electronic or sonic device, making the wearer almost undetectable from GPS or other tracking systems. He also developed the schools highly advanced defenses. Being head engineer he also is the students first link to any equipment and devices they might need, all of which he can craft and put together for the students for free.
UPDATE
Jax accepted a position within Stark Industries that would propel his education on nano mech. and allow him to work up close with some Rikti tech. The position was in England and would require a full year of service. During which time, the RHCA was rejected by congress, and the school he helped built was shut down. But, before the bill was squashed their was a raid on the school. Jax lost all contact with his friends, and his lover. To this day he doesn't know if they are missing, hiding, or dead.
Personality
Though he has vowed to change his ways, there is still very much the 'raver' inside of Jaxson. He is a little off center and enjoys being the life of the party. Jax says, "I've never gone anywhere without running into a friend" That's because he has no shame in walking up and talking to anybody. He is fascinated by Paragon City and the characters that call this place home.
His sense of humor is sometimes considered juvenile and crass. But, hey, he's British after all. Also, being new to Paragon City and the world of a hero, he tends to have that 'fish-out-of-water' mentality (asking inappropriate questions). Even still, he's always in a good mood, and will even laugh at himself on occasion.
Underneath his boisterous appearance, Jax is a hopeless romantic at heart and a bit of a deep thinker. Even though he tries very hard not to be sappy, if someone 'strikes his fancy' he can't help but let it show.
He is fascinated (and considered a prodigy) with anything mechanical. So much so, that he even began to question his sexuality when he met another young man that was almost completely cybernetic. Jaxson became very infatuated with said person, developing somewhat of a school-boy crush. (from the experience, and the loss of said young man, he has since embraced his homosexuality)
He tends to stray away from any mystical characters, as he doesn't fully understand the nature of magic and the mystics.
He loves being given new projects, and will come to the aid of anyone requesting devices or mechanical repairs (think Q from James Bond or Forge from X-Men)
When not out dancing off some frustrations in Pocket D, he can usually be found at home, tinkering away in his workshop.
Appearance
His love for punk rock and techno fuels his look. He is always found sporting his custom designed 'vans', and his platinum gold chains (worn around his neck and arms). The chains were a gift from his deceased mother. She purchased the chains for him after he became lead guitarist in his first punk rock band, 'Donkey-Punched'.
Tattoo
His chest is covered with a black dragon, facing forward. The wings are sprawled out, going across his pecks. At the foot of the dragon, is a white Bengal tiger. The tiger is in a striking stance, with it's right front paw extended forward, and claws bared. The tail of the black dragon circles around the body of the tiger, the tip wraps around the extended paw.
Powers and Equipment
Martial Arts
Jax was fascinated with martial arts growing up as a kid. He began studying Kajukenbo at the age of six, and by 17 had earned his place among the members of the 'Black Belt Society". Kajukenbo is a unique martial art style combining the techniques of KA-Karate, JU-Judo and Jujitsu, KEN-Kenpo, and BO-Boxing.
Blast Goggles
A snow boarding accident left Jax blind in his right eye at the age of 18, turning the iris white. Soon after the accident, Jax crafted wireless video goggles and had a laser-powered microchip grafted to the back of his retina. Electrodes on the chip form an image that can stimulate the retina and allow for Jax to have sight again in his eye. Once he moved to Paragon City, he redesigned his goggles to enhance and include targeting parameters. His accuracy (AIM) is improved when he activates this feature, plus he can also see through any material. His eye functions as a kind of x-ray device.
Super Speed
Jax loves wearing his 'vans'. There is no other shoe in the world that he prefers more. To get around Paragon City faster, and to be able to respond to people in need, he altered his favorite pair of sneaks. He has incorporated jet-proportionate rocket boosts located at the heel of his vans. This super speed device is activated by controls located on his wrist watch.
Jet Pack
After arriving in Paragon, one of the first places Jax visited was Skyway City. It soon became apparent to him that he would need a device that would allow him to achieve great heights and distances. So, Jax went to work in his lab and crafted his own collapsible jet pack that he can fasten to his back to achieve said desired affect. One side note: There is a 'Misfits' and a 'Sisters of Mercy' sticker on the back of the pack.
