Background

When Arbiter Aamir Roux and Fortunata Audry Peters met, it seemed to be love at first sight. Aamir was a quiet, stoic man with a strong history in Arachnos. Audry saw the man's power as a way to make her life as a Fortunata better, as well as help her fulfill her life as a loving mother with a family-- like she never had. Aamir fell immediately for the woman-- her big blue eyes and auburn hair did him in; but what really got him was her fiery personality. She was a burst of energy, full of fire. It was that feisty attitude that got the two hot and heavy within a year.

What Audry couldn't predict was that the man would knock her up so quickly. Nearly three months after their affair began, Audry was already showing a decent bump. She continued working her job alongside Aamir, surprisingly, no longer working to bring herself higher in Arachnos. All she cared for now was the life she would give her child with Aamir at her side. The life she could never have for herself.

But her dream didn't last. Audry was left alone in labor for over two days. The stress proved too much for her heart, and as Audry passed away, Mehira was born out of it all. That almost unnatural fire-red hair and bright blue eyes, she was the perfect image of her mother. Aamir was contacted over a day later that his wife had passed and his daughter was born. Disappointed and alone, Aamir didn't seem to care much for his daughter. She couldn't carry his lineage like a son could have, and worst of all, Mehira caused his wife's death. He would forever scorn her for this.

Powers

Now, Mehira's father couldn't just have a child he despised and do nothing with her. No. He would have to make her into something useful. Something powerful and worthy of his last name. Tests and experiments left Mehira with manipulation of energy through her own impulses. As well as this, she can seem to pull power and strength from her enemies or whoever she so chooses. Though these weren't the results her father was hoping for, it did earn her the nickname "Joule", and her hair color donned "Heat" -- leaving her as Joule Heat around his workplace. She was her father's disappointment, and ultimately, his fuck-up.

By this point, Mehira had grown a decent hatred for her father and his work on her. She had already started calling her bodyguard, Roger Weiss, 'daddy', if only to cause Aamir further irritation. Her time was well spent with Weiss, the only man who would even spend time with her until she was old enough to date, or had the courage to make friends (which were never kept). Always a child at heart, she conned Weiss into a game of hide and seek at the ripe age of fifteen. An Arachnos mine was, of course, the perfect place for a tiny girl like Mehira to hide. Though, not the safest.

The mines were unstable, as were the rocks Mehira chose to hide under. Her arm was crushed and ultimately destroyed in the process, leaving the girl a screaming mess. Weiss quickly came to her aid, finding her and having no choice but to, well, saw her arm off at the shoulder. He rushed her out as Mehira found herself unconscious for three days.

Mehira woke with a new cybernetic arm that worked the same as her regular arm, only.. it was metal. She could feel with it, as it still had nerve-endings. She was taught how to use it, and maintain it-- though she's a forgetful girl. It soon became rather ragged looking, much to the dismay of her father, who had already decided how stupid she was for hiding in a mine.

And so, Joule Heat was born. The powers, the arm, and the mouth of a sailor.

Current Life

Currently, Mehira lives in St. Martial in some off apartments next to the Black Mariah. Her father's income has kept her well off his back for anything whatsoever. She can buy what she wants, when she wants, and thus she rarely complains about life. Mehira doesn't seem to have many friends, seen alone half the time. Now relatively alone, her father becoming sicker with each passing day, Mehira would like to find herself something, or someone to settle herself on.

Relationships

Arbiter Aamir Roux - Currently, Mehira doesn't really have a decent relationship with her father. He basically has given her a credit card in order to keep her away. She despises the man, but always hopes for some sort of amazing break through whenever he calls. However, such is never the case. Aamir will call or contact Mehira mostly only to tell her it's "bring your daughter to work day," and he needs her there to make him look good. To keep Mehira constantly showing up, he offers her money in exchange-- and that's really how she sees the man: A source of money, nothing more.

Roger Weiss - Mehira's bodyguard. Her main man up until she was old enough to start dating. He's the reason she's alive. He was the one who saved her from the accident involving her arm, and she'd always see him more as a father figure than her own flesh and blood, Aamir. Always there when Mehira was with a broken heart, twisted ankle, or something as simple as a splinter. He would make it all better-- everything. Constantly teasing the cyborg about his 'old age', she sill always reminds him she'd be nowhere without him, or even dead. His quick thinking had saved her life probably more than once. With her until 2011, when his passing only spurred the girl's independence. Without him, she knew she wouldn't be the same. Perhaps she'd really take on the challenge of being a villain? Or would she go searching for someone to take his place? Time would tell.

Ninjitsurge - Sam. Mehira was absolutely infatuated with the man and would do anything for him. After a quick meeting in the D over a long lost 'Henchmen Wanted' flyer found by Mehira, a date was set up for her to apply. She fit the profile, according to the man, and she soon found herself fighting alongside him and Dipset in a trip to Praetoria-- There was something the man was looking for... Sam was lost in the trip, left to find his way back. Regardless of what he may have been searching for, he has admitted to Mehira he came back from the brink of death for her. They had become almost inseperable since. However, Sam's constant disappearances since the trip to Praetoria started taking a toll on their relationship. Mehira was always crying, and Sam always angry. It was best if they moved on. And they did, though both could never honestly forget all they'd gone through. With Sam no longer in her life, Mehira needed something else to outlet her time...
