(More coming soon...)
Ages past, two clans of Djinn fought over a pocket of material space within the elemental zone. It was during a skirmish that Johara's parents met. Unable to slay the fire Djinn that was before her, Johara's mother showed the Djinn mercy. The feelings were returned by the Djinn and soon the two broke their laws to seek each other out. The fire Djinn's clan discovered he was secretly meting with a member of the air clan, though they knew nothing of the passion within the meetings. He was sentenced to death and executed. Johara's mother was clueless of the reason for her lover's disappearance. He had however already left her with child.

Johara's birth was secretive, and her very existence was considered treason. The infant's features were easy to cover, as Johara received most of her features from her mother. As she grew into early childhood, she was required to keep her hair cut and covered to prevent others from seeing her red hair. She was taught the ways of her people at home by her mother, and went out rarely without her mother by her side. It was during the rare time she went out alone that her life plummeted deep into the ocean.

Fending herself from mercenary guards, the innate abilities of the fire clan sprang from her fingers. Her covering was scorched and all those who witnessed saw the crime of her birth. Johara and her mother were seized and awaited judgment from the elders. Johara's mother was sentenced to death, while Johara was to be forced into an eternity of slavery. Johara's mother pleaded for her daughter's fate, not wanting the child to suffer a fate the Djinn felt was beyond death. Johara was prepared to be bound to a material container of Earth before her mother's eyes.

Placed in the hands of a human being, Johara's eternity of slavery began. The jinneyeh's heart quickly grew numb to the cruelty she was forced to do and see. Unaware of the extent of her own powers, she served loyally to each master and mistress who's black heart obtained Johara's container.

Spoilers end here.

Description

Physical Appearance

Johara stands at 4'7" and keeps her head held high. Her dark red hair falls short of her shoulder blades, and often has an unkempt appearance. Smoky gray eyes stand out against her blue skin, which is covered in ritualistic tattoos. These tattoos shimmer when Johara invokes her powers, though they limit her ability to use her full potential. From her back, flames flicker and shimmer in the vague shape of wings.

Mental State

Having served many humans in her own lifetime, many of whom were selfish and black hearted, Johara lost the will to involve herself in someone else's problems. The ability to become indifferent to a creature's suffering caused her to seem cold and evil, however it saved her from personal damnation and truly becoming black hearted herself.

Not having had a kind hearted master or mistress for a great length of time, Johara finds it difficult to act kind and sympathetic. Her sense of individuality has long since faded, and being used as an object of power for so long has stolen her social abilities.
