Timeline for Soviet Earth
- 1848
- Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels penned the prophetic Communist Manifesto. Treated as a secular bible by the people of present day Soviet Earth, the Communist Manifesto ignored by the masses in its initial printing.
- 1906
- After the failed Russian Revolution of 1905, political theorist and party leader Vladimir Lenin travels Europe and continues to develop socialist theory and doctrine.
- 1914
- Europe and the world are engulfed in armed conflict as a World War between the various bourgeois nation-states force the proletariat to fight and die in battles that profits no-one but the capitalists.
- 1916 - January
- Imperial Germany, seeking to destabilize United States financial support of the Entente Powers covertly send operatives to Mexico. Their mission: enlist the aid of separatist factions in northern Mexico, mount commando-style attacks across the northern boarder into the United States and frame the Mexican government.
- The Prussian savant and arch-capitalist reactionary Nemesis is sent to Mexico at personal of the Kaiser to oversee operations against the unsuspecting Americans.
- 1916 - March
- Nemesis convinces Mexican President Venustiano Carranza that not only can the Mexican Army stand-up against US forces but most likely defeat the gringos... with the mad Prussian's assistance, of course. The temptation of retaking lands lost to the Americans is too great for the Mexican government.
- A pact is signed between Mexico and Germany granting military aid and training to the former and preferred commercial business to the latter. Mexico authorizes the establishment of Nemesis controlled military bases and factories hidden in the Chihuahua state. The agreement stated that Germany would recognize all conquests taken by Mexico during the course of the conflict and Germany would get first pick of any and all resources that Mexico would have to offer.
- ... unfortunately for all parties involved, Nemesis would have other plans.
