The Paragons

Established 1994

-Location- The Paragons inhabit a satellite that hovers in geosynchronous orbit over Atlas park. Known as "Sky Eye 0-1", the State of the Art satellite contains advanced scientific labs, training rooms and dojo, living facilities, and anything else the members of the worlds most powerful super team would need to function. Sky Eye contains its own teleportation network, allowing members to access it any time they need.

-History/Ideology- In August of 1994, the Fifth Column launched a massive worldwide assault that was years in the making. Quickly seizing nuclear facilities and almost every world capital, it would seem the fascist military organization had finally succeeded in establishing the new Reich. Several Heroes came together during this period, and the 8 who broke the foothold of the Fifth at its source, and beat them back, decided to continue to work together. Calling themselves "The Paragons" the original 8 expanded their ranks, taking in the worlds strongest Heroes, to take on the worlds greatest threats. In 1999, a series of tragedies struck the team. At first, a hostage situation with the Council went horribly awry, resulting in the deaths of 10 civilians and censure of the Team. Next several members were injured in battle, as the team's enemies always seemed to know what was going on. Finally Freedom Torch 's sidekick.. "All American Girl" was brutally killed by Captain Mako when she attempted to infiltrate the Rogue Isles, causing Torch to retire from the team. Eventually almost all of the team disbanded. Then in 2002, The Rikti War happened. Once more The Paragons came together, and this time decided to stay together. Most recently, it was revealed the team's tragedies were all due to the unbalanced mentalist "Mind's Eye", who had been one of the original 8, purposefully sabotaging the group. In a massive conflict, Mind's Eye seemed to perish, and the team stuck together, deciding to be more vigilant and watch themselves to prevent any similar incidents.

-OOC Theme- The Paragons are based off of the Big World Defender Teams such as "The JLA" "The Avengers" and "StormWatch". The Paragons is where most of the world's most powerful and competent heroes gather. They are the most visibly known, publicly watched, publicly adored, and privately feared. This is the team for the True Blue Heroes of the powerful sort, the top of their game.

InfiniTeens

Established 2006

-Location- The Infiniteens recently finished furnishing a base in the Bishop Center for Performing Arts. Rented under an assumed name, this building in Steel Canyon contains a secret floor which can be reached only via personal teleporters or a secret elevator under Blyde Lake.

-History/Ideology- What do teenaged heroes do? Well, they fight crime. They save the day. They do homework. And... they hang out. Also, lots of pizza is consumed. More than just teammates, the Infiniteens are friends. Sometimes they just... hang out. Of all the teams, they are possibly the most close knit outside of their costumed identities. Also, many of them have ties to, or mentors in, The Paragons.

-OOC Theme- Fun, youth, responsibility of power. The Infiniteens are all young, idealistic heroes. They are not broody or anti-heroic, though some may grow up to be.

A.R.M.O.R.

(Advanced Reconnasaince for Metahuman Organization and Recruitment)

Established 2002

-Location- A.R.M.O.R.'s main office is located in Paragon City, on the 33rd floor of Blossom Towers. An additional, confidential facility exists underground somewhere in Paragon and may only be accessed via teleportation.

-History/Ideology- The real beginnings of A.R.M.O.R. can be traced back to 1985, when Great Britain began a secret initiative to form a new, hush-hush police force whose idea was simple: arresting law-breaking metahumans required police officers that could stand up to the criminals. Most of the details regarding this organization of "metacops" remains classified by the British government. Funding seems to have been limited, and the force grew slowly, until the Rikti invasion in 2002 and the aftermath thereof.

Several years before the beginning of The Rikti War, the Director of the British metacop organization began pushing for heavy expansion, and by pulling the right strings the young woman was able to get in touch with a number of United Nations representatives to pitch the idea of an international group intended to police metahumans without hindering their rights and freedoms. The initiative crawled to a stand still until the Rikti Invaded in 2002. In the wake of the war more than 130 of the UN's member nations vowed to support the birth of A.R.M.O.R.. Metacops for policing Metacrime.

-OOC Theme- My vision for A.R.M.O.R. could be summarized by "Like X-Com, but policing and protecting metahumans, instead of hunting aliens." A.R.M.O.R. is independently operated by the Director, Binary Blossom, who oversees all of its operations around the globe. Under her guidance the Agency works towards two goals: preventing metahumans from denying normal humans their rights and liberties, and preventing normal humans from doing the same to metahumans. The sponsoring nations review the activities of the Agency on a biannual basis, and adjust their funding according to their satisfaction.

Midnight Saints

Established 1988

-Location- Unknown

-History/Ideology- Paragon City in the late 1980s had become rife with corruption. The corruption ran along all stratas of goverment within the city, tying the hands of many of the liscended Heroes. Criminals would be arrested, only to be let off on "Technicalities" and other such buerecratic nonsense. The Various gangs and crime syndicates of the city seemed to move as one force, as if a secret master were directing all of them.

In truth, a mysterious figure who was only known as "Faigen" had taken control of all crime in the city. Faigen was a criminal mastermind, and had somehow united all of the various syndicates to work together. Faigen had bought off officials all through out the city, and strong armed anyone who dared to oppose their rule. Eventually, a few hard nosed officers who refused to be bought, combined with the work of many unliscended vigilantes began to chip away at Faigens empire. In Response, Faigen hired outside help, specifically a ruthless assassin. "Pinpoint", a former Malta trained sniper and gunslinger, now a freelancer, was called in to help with the Vigilante Situation. Pinpoint was known for unnering accuracy, and a cadre of specalised ammo and equipment to handle even some metahuman enemies. Slowly but surely, Pinpoint began to eliminate the opposition Faigan faced.

It seemed the city would forever be held in the grip of Faigan, until by chance, a few of the Vigilantes and Detectives took notice of one another. Slowly they began to work together, pooling resources, watching each others backs. Finally, working as a team, the arrest and capture of Pinpoint was completed. Using Evidence Pinpoint had, the coalition was able to put several corrupt officials behind bars, including the corrupt chief of Police, Miller. Going further, this alliance chipped away at Faigans empire, until at last, Faigan was arrested in 1993, his empire was broken, and the vast corruption within the city was put to an end. The Vigilantes and Officers who came together in that period didn't forget how effective it was to work as a team. They decided to keep an open radio connection with another, keep in contact, and pool resources when ever a threat became to big for more then one of them to handle.

-OOC Theme- The Midnight Saints are a collection of low powered Metahumans, Normal Human Vigialntes, and on the edge police officers, who form a loose coalition of people working together to prevent crime. While each of them in turn is more then willing to help fight off a Rikti Invasion, they are more the comic book Heroes that fight Organized Crime, Gang Members, Ninjas, Secret Cults, Spies, and other such things. It is the realm of Daredevil, Batman, Spiderman, the Punisher, and even the Ninja Turtles.

The (Inverted) Tower

Established 1980

-Location- The Tower is located within an alternate dimension of it's leaders creation, accessible only by a simple spell taught by the Archmagus himself. The exact location is magically protected, as is the spell, preventing it from being spoken by anyone save the creator. Within The Inverted Tower is a magical sanctuary, a dream for those that seek knowledge. The grand library populates the lowest floors, above them the residence quarters and at the top of the tower, the Office of the Archmagus.

-History/Ideology- A dimensional hopper of considerable skill, Ademus Keleran has been protecting the various planes of existence from the magical and mystical threats of the Outer Worlds for quite some time. However, an increase has been seen in the level of magic and artifacts of the same, a dangerous increase that Ademus has noticed. Realizing that he can't quite be everywhere at once, the Archmage immediately began a recruitment campaign. Now with a group of magic users, magical creatures and other mystical beings as his allies, they police the world for dangerous magical creatures and magical items, keeping the unsuspecting populace safe from the strange and wierd beyond their own eyes.

-OOC Theme- The Inverted Tower is meant to prevent magical destruction and terror, in all forms. Whether by sealing or destroying artifacts, battling back magical creatures or other, unforeseen problems. Examples of similar groups include Midnight Sons, Shadow Pact or the BPRD.

Known Rogues of the New Pantheon

Here is a brief write up for the various foes that have plauged the various teams of the New Pantheon Universe. They are open for actual PC use for plots and the like.

Mind's eye

Former Master of Mental arts and illusions in particular, Mind's Eye was a member of the Paragons and one of the original 8 founders of the Team. Mind's Eye served with distinction, but somewhere along the way, something went horribly wrong, and Mind's Eye became unhinged. M.E. began to slowly toy with the members of the Paragons, emotionally and psychically, cumulinating in the death of Freedom Torch's Sidekick "All-American Girl" in 1999, and the temporary disbanding of the Team. M.E.'s mental unbalance was finally revealed in early 2008, and seemingly perished in the resulting struggle. Ego Trip Was Mind's Sidekick and protege, and took their place among the Paragons.

Faigen

A Criminal Mastermind and Genius with a victorian bent, Faigen menaced Paragon City during the late 80s and early 90s. Somehow the Criminal Genius managed to unite the various different warring crime families and gangs, all under one banner. Faigen managed to buy off many of the officials within the city, and ruled a shadow goverment from behind the Scenes. Faigen was known to be an expert fencer along with tactican. Faigen was arrested eventually and is assumed to be serving out a sentence to this day.

PinPoint

PinPoint is an Assassin of the highest caliber. Pinpoint is an expert hand to hand fighter, tactician, explosives maker, gun combatant, but is most known for their deadly sniper abilitiy. Pinpoint can take shots that seem superhuman in nature, and is known for almost never missing. Using a wide variety of specalised Ammo, PinPoint can even penetrate many metahuman levels of durability as well. PinPoint is a former member of Malta who went Freelance, one of their best Agents, and known to take contracts from them still today.
