Origin

Amelia had always been fascinated with the cosmos despite traveling it all her life. As a child, she would spend hours on the upper decks staring into the blackness at the stars, dreaming of one day exploring further reaches of the universe and seeing new and interesting things.

But her dreams changed when she was found washed up at Kallisti Wharf on earth, barely alive. Someone rushed her to a nearby hospital where she remained in a coma for over a year. When Amelia came to, in a power ward she was alone, among scorched walls. Observing from above, she was surrounded by unfamiliar faces. She felt a strange burning sensation deep inside as the heat burst from her. Amelia could feel that she was very different, as if infused with the power of a star.

She had little memory of what happened or how she had ended up on the strange planet. The only thing she could recall was during a sleep cycle, she woke suddenly as if being called. She looked out the viewport of her colony vessel at a distant orbit around a bright, blue star under study. Watching in awe, and as if time slowed, the star exploded into being a nova of energy and color. The star had been beautiful, but also dangerous. Amelia couldn't look away as her ship was struck by the wave of energy.

With the help of the hospital staff, under rehabilitation and training, She began a journey of self-discovery and control. As she adapted to this new world, Amelia took to calling herself Novae, unaware of her previous name and after her only memory of the bright and powerful star that had captivated her.

Novae eventually registered with the Paragon SERAPH division, a group of superheroes dedicated to protecting others from all manner of threats. As she fought alongside her allies, with each passing day, Novae grew stronger and more confident in her abilities. As her past still taunts her she knew that there was still much to learn and do and continued to investigate hoping to uncover it. There was much she didn't understand about herself she was determined to find.

Despite the challenges she faced, Novae had been given a second chance at life, and she was determined to make the most of it. She knew that even in the vastness of space, there was always more to explore, discover, and do.
