Obsidian Industries

Obsidian Industries is a major technological and medical company handling several contracts all over the world, including Germany and Norway. They are developing medical technologies for those that need it, most recently they developed a vaccine for the H1N1 virus, which have proven to be 20 times as efficient as the previous vaccines on the market, all tough the big difference between OI's vaccine and the others available is that they don't charge anyone for it. The medical research conducted is to be made for the welfare of all inhabitants on Earth. Obsidian Industries also have made a progress in new energy development's, they've managed to derive power out of thin air, literally, using anti-matter technology, which Obsidian Industries have developed to be "green". These breakthrough's and more are made to better the world, keep it clean and secure for the future generations. Obsidian Industries also handles defense contracts for USA, Sweden, Germany and Italy. They develop new technologies to make war safer and cleaner, using shield technologies and drones to keep human beings away from danger. The war drones are also 100% accurate in their attacks, meaning less civilian casualties and more efficient use of resources. Current CEO of Obsidian Industries is Joseph Thakus, a multi billionaire from Europe, he came to the USA in the early 80's, where he started several projects concerning preserving the environment and rainforests, hes been called humanities finest by many, but it wasn't until he founded Obsidian Industries that he really made a difference in the world.

In reality, Obsidian Industries is controlled by the underworld crime genius, only known as "Jack Fear", everything Obsidian Industries stands for is just a cover up for the real projects that are taking place within it's doors.

Obsidian Industries handles in black market deals around the world, selling arms to those that can afford it, everything between small arms to long range missile systems. Crystal Genetics is one of the secret projects that Obsidian Industries have invested a large amount of money into, they deal with the genetic research, they are attempting to manufacture mutations in “normal” subjects, the project was nicknamed “The Hades Project”. CryGen is also one of the main sister companies that produces the medicines that Obsidian Industries develop and research. Allot of the current employees are aware of OI's real intentions, which are in simple terms, world domination, taking control of all world governments, either by using political puppets that share the same dream as Jack Fear or his associates. Or to take control with military force.

OOC Note: Obsidian Industries is a Heavy Roleplaying group, with the theme (as you could guess) being “evil organization”, a lot of plots, RP opportunities and fun is promised. Obsidian Industries internal structure is divided into departments, each handling their separate responsibilities.

Security Department

Handling the security for all facilities of the Obsidian Industries. Internal ranks are similar to military ranks. These are also used by Jack Fear as soldiers of war, and in this department there are several mercenaries and ex-soldiers. Each member is insured a steady income and multiple opportunities for promotions.

OOC Notes: This is the department for those that wishes to Role play the typical soldier/merc toon, as well as military type. It's easy RP but involves a lot of “evil” missions, such as kidnappings and attacks. Recommended for Alt toons or permanent toons. Is looking for a dedicated player to play the role as head of Security and general of the military force.

Advanced Technologies & Defense Department

This department handles all research regarding advanced weapon technologies and other technologies, several professors around the globe have been recruited by Mr Thakus to work on new ground breaking technologies, both for his legal and illegal businesses.

OOC Notes: This is the department for all inventor and researcher Role players, this department how ever do require a certain level of knowledge and is recommended for those players that knows the “lingo”. Is recommended for dedicated role players and should be “main” toons in the SG.

Medical & Genetic Research Department

The department of Medical and genetic research, does exactly what the name implies, they research and develop new medicines, vaccines and researches the the genetic structures of human beings. It is also the department where the “Hades Project” is being conducted.
