Velvet Revolution: Jordan has quickly earned Pain's trust and adoration. She has shown kindness to him that Pain hasn't really known since "Doc Sammy" aided him in escaping Lab 113.
Doctor Samantha: Doc Sammy, as Pain calls her, is the woman that helped Pain escape and destroy Lab 113. A very sweet and caring woman, she had no idea the experiments that were going on in the lower levels of Lab 113, until she was stationed to look over 'the Prototype' - Pain's codename. She died when she set off a chain reaction that caused the lab to explode upon itself.

Physical
At first glance, one could assume Pain to be either a homeless man, or completely insane. Or both.
Decently tall (though perhaps not so much in a world full of metas, supers and godlike beings), Pain looks a bit like he works out on occasion, the exposed muscles on his body seen through holes in his outfit. He has somewhat lengthy raven-black hair, almost mangy but not dirty. It just seems like he never brushes it. The natural color of his eyes, which are blood red, are hidden by a pair of compact nightvision goggles, though it is unknown if they work or not; the rest of his face is covered by a thick scarf that almost goes up to his eyes. The costume he wears is draped with chains over a silky cloth material that mostly seems to restich itself, his camo pants held up by an odd padlock-and-chain belt. His hands are wrapped with electrical tape and he wears thick combat boots, as well.
His movements and speech make it quite obvious that he isn't quite all there, from his shambling, wobbling steps to the way he crouches on the floor like a dog. His speech is always very soft, except when he is excited.
Personality
Sometimes shy, sometimes not, Pain tends to come across differently to anyone he meets. He is always friendly to anyone that he isn't trying to kill (though sometimes he's friendly to his victims, too). He is easily excitable, but also easily able to be calmed.
Powers
Being born a lab experiment designed to be a prototype weapon of mass destruction can leave you with a handful of ... interesting abilities. Pain is one such person. He is immune to disease and poison, and unable to feel pain (in fact feeling pleasure from it), except for agonizing wounds.
He must feed on blood to retain the proper nutrients in his body to regenerate.
Spines
Able to malform his own bone structure to create blades, spears, and other sharp instruments of violence out of his own body, Pain's blood is also toxic to almost every living thing on the planet because of the variety (and dangerously high levels) of poisons and toxins in his blood. Oddly enough, creatures that are immune to poison can actually get a drug-like 'high' from imbibing his blood. Needless to say, vampires tend to be very friendly towards him.
Regeneration
Given enough time and the proper nutrients, Pain can recover from any wound, or even death itself. Though he has yet to be killed, he has on several occasions come very close.
Weaknesses and Limitations
The toxins in Pain's blood makes him vulnerable to extreme heat and extreme cold, as well as weakening him if he hasn't fed enough. Effectively, he can be "starved" and left incredibly weak - meaning he can't regenerate, and will kill himself if he attempts to produce his barbs.
Equipment
- His clothes and attachments like nightvision goggles, chains, and scarf.
- A six-inch combat knife.
- A metal Zippo lighter, plain, with no emblems or designs on it.
