Roc'Nor

Roc'Nor, or simply called Roc by those who know him, is a hybrid of a Legendary Bird of prey Roc, and a human mage. Roc'Nor is nearly as strong as the Roc, however he is only slightly taller than a human. He retains more of a human like look, but his habbits are more bird like than anything. With small feathers lining his torso, fingers like talons, razor sharp teeth, and inhuman heightened senses, Roc'Nor is a being to be reckoned with.

Roc'Nor's history

Roc'Nor was hatched from an egg the size of a full sized human. However, he was only as big as a normal sized, healthy, baby. The nest of Roc's knew that the baby would be different from a normal Roc chick, but they never knew he would be this different. Never-the-less, the nest of Roc's accepted the hybrid, and took care of him as best as they could. By the time Roc'Nor was only five years old, he was the size of a full grown human, and was already flying. He accompainied his mother on hunts, watching her swoop down and pick up an elephant. However Roc'Nor was only able to pick up smaller animals, such as wolves, Lion's, and other such animals. When Roc'Nor turned fifteen, an attack from a neighboring Nest of Phenoix's shook Roc'Nor's world. A battle broke out between the two nests and in the end, both nests retreated. The Roc's moved from Madagascar to the Moutains of Eastern Europe. Though the apropriate amount of food for the Roc's were scarce, they still managed to survive. At the age of Twenty Roc'Nor and his nest had been well established, and life seemed to be better than ever. Roc'Nor had learned the history of his race, both Roc and Human. Then his mother told him what all had kept from him- why he was so different.

The Mage

Roc'Nor's mother had been on a hunt when a Phenoix had attacked her. The two birds fought untill Roc'Nor's mother had finally made the beast flee, but at a dear cost. She was wounded and couldn't make it back to her nest, so she found a desolate spot in the plains and rested. During the night. she still wasn't healed enough to make it back, and thats when she knew she was to die. And then the mage came... Unlike what Roc'Nor's mother thought, the human was not evil, and did not finish her off. Instead, the mage made a deal with her. 'I will heal you, but my essence with have to bind with you. The next egg that hatches from your batch will be half human, half Roc.' Roc'Nor's mother agreed, and the deal was made.

Why Roc'Nor is in Paragon

Thousands of years later Roc'Nor's nest was becoming overrun, and the war between Roc's and Phenoix's were over. The Phenoix's were now a scarce race and the Roc's were spread across the entire world- though they kept hidden. However, there was not enough room. Humans had spread even more than other creatures, and now the boundries between Legendary creatures and mortals were close to clashing. Roc'Nor's mother devised a plan. Roc'Nor was to go to the Human cities, and show that the Roc's were gentle and kind creatures, that would live with the humans, instead of against them. So Roc'Nor travels to cities all around, hoping to provide them with help against the evil that torments them, and at the same time, spread the word of the Roc.
