History

(Work in Progress)

Early History

Growing up in Steel Canyon, Reese always knew to avoid The Outcasts and The Tsoo. There were only a few times he was caught, and luckily it was the '80s and Superheroes were not rare in Steel Canyon. Reese always looked up to super-heroes, however he was born into a very rich family, he got pretty much everything he wanted. Reese enjoyed his life, but he wanted more...

Adolescence

Reese got into a private school in Steel Canyon, however he got sick of the rich life, and after his Freshman year, went to public school. Being one of the richest names in the Canyon, most of the kids hated Reese, they picked on him, and did everything they could to make sure he didn't enjoy his day. Reese got sick of it, and after his Sophomore year, went back to the aforementioned private school. At least there he had a few friends. When Reese turned 16, he came to a realization, he was sick of people pushing him around just because of his money, and he got his family to hire a private martial artist. Training day after day during that summer of '97, he became a promising student. Reese learned what he needed to from his master that summer, and started school as a Junior the next year. Reese now knew how to defend himself, but he wanted to teach his brain too, forcing himself into getting the best grades, he graduated with a full scholarship to Steel Canyon University when he was 18. Now realizing what he wanted to do with his life, he learned technical studies and computer skills, along with Japanese history during his two-year stay at SCU. Reese then dropped out, learning what he needed to.

Adulthood

Starting with The Outcasts on his own home street, then moving on to The Tsoo around Steel Canyon Memorial Hospital, Reese was fighting crime. There was one problem though...he was getting hurt, martial arts alone can't fight the forces of evil. After a couple weeks staying off the streets, he knew what he needed to do. Reese took a plane to Japan where he found his old master, knowing that his master could still help him, he asked him to teach him advanced techniques. Learning a superior form of Judo was only the start, Reese learned about the ancient meditation abilities. His master taught him to channel his energy and his "chi" into the ability to regenerate wounds. Reese lived in Japan for two years training with his master once more. Reese, now 22, then returned to Steel Canyon. There was only one more element in being "Shining-Fury." Staying at home, locked up in his room for six months, Reese came out with his armor. When he first tested it out, it weighed far too much, and he couldn't be agile with it. So he found a very light metal that he could then apply to the design of his armor. With the Impervium being the base structure of the armor, Reese could now fight. Quite well in fact. Over the course of a few more months, Reese added technical gadgets he got off of Freakshow to enhance his regeneration capabilities. Reese then put the finishing touches on the armor, his helmet. Naming himself Shining-Fury, he fought off crime in Steel Canyon, and moved on to Talos Island. Shining-Fury was born.

Recent History

When Reese first started helping people in Talos Island, he met a Kheldian-Hero by the name of Zathaver Draken. The two became almost immediate partners, and helped each other out quite a bit. Zath went his own separate way, and Reese hasn't seen him for months. Meeting a few other heroes along the way...no one else really stuck. Until one day in Founders' Falls, fighting off Crey, Reese saw five Paragon Protectors, one of which was fighting the other four. Deciding to help him out, maybe he could ask questions after the fight. The pair defeated the other four Paragon Protectors, and Reese had a long chat with the mystery protector. His name was Nav, nothing else, just Nav. Learning many interesting things about Nav, the two became fast friends. Nav and Reese helped each other out a lot with the following weeks. During all of this hero work, Reese decided to hang out in the Pocket D quite a bit, where he met three very interesting characters. The first being Lacertus, a Rogue Isles strong-man who'll snap you like a twig just for coughing in his direction. The second being a dark-haired woman by the name of Leda Trachis, another "villain" working in the Rogue Isles who would kill you in a flash. The third is Adam Walters, a tall, red-haired man in a trench coat. Even though all three were villains, Reese became friends with all of them, learning that they all worked in an organization called The Giordano Family. The other thing that happened with Reese and these people is a very interesting occurance. With the help of Lace, and Leda, Reese got a stealth-generator and a fake ID so he has the ability to enter the Rogue Isles if he pleases. Reese got criticized a bit by Nav and a few other heroes for this, but they do agree how useful something like that could be. Reese has only gone to the Rogue Isles a few times since, but you never know when something like that could come in handy.

Present Day

Reese got invited to join The Dawn Protectorate, a Super-Group designed to protecting Paragon City. Nav on the other hand joined a Super-Group known as The Neverenders, whose base of operations is an airship. Reese and Nav still get along just fine, fighting off evil in Peregrine Isle. Reese bought a new house in Founders', selling his old one in Galaxy City. He enjoys the new house a lot more, and loves the neighborhood.

Friends

Navitas Altor - Only going by the name "Nav." Reese and him became good friends after Reese helped him out, they then proceded to raid a Crey lab, and have looked out for each other ever since.

Gadgix - More recently, Reese met this teenage girl. She was a genious, and when Reese needed help, she was there. Reese looks to her as a very good friend and teammate, he would always look out for her.

Leda Trachis - After meeting a few times in Pocket D, Leda creeped Reese out at first, but after a few more conversations, they became friends. Leda currently has apple seeds that Reese gave her, and hopes they'll turn into the apple trees she wants.

Lacertus - Even though he's a villain, Reese has a lot of respect for this man. Lacertus has helped Reese out a few times, and even taught him a few lessons. When Nav came into the picture, more events happened involving these two. Lacertus and Reese even fired the Warburg rocket, at the dismay of many heroes.

Lady Sigh - Although they've only met a few times, Lady Sigh and Leda are close friends, and Reese was kind to both of them. Reese doesn't know much about her, but he'd consider her a friend.

Dame Freya - Meeting up in the Dawn Protectorate, Freya and Reese have helped out the people of Paragon City quite a few times since they met.

Zathaver Draken - Zath was Reese's first super-hero friend in Paragon City, Reese looks up to him almost like a mentor.

Adam Walters - Another member of the Giordano Family, Reese wouldn't really consider him a "friend." They seem to have a hatred for each other.

Leo Magnus - Bloodthirsty at first, Reese and him didn't get along. After a few hours however in the D, you could call them friends.
