Character History
Tara Jordan was born to a middle class factory worker and stay at home mom. Although they were never rich, She never wanted for much and was a happy little girl. That all changed when she was six when her mother just up and left the family and was never seen again. Her Father did the best he could as a single parent and Tara was as supportive as a child can be as she grew up and blossomed into was wise young woman. But tragedy struck again when ,at just 17, Tara was diagnosed with a rare cancer. Faced with insurmountable bills her father was nearing a breakdown when two representatives from Crey stopped him after work with an offer that he could not refuse. They would use a new from of treatment to cure his daughter, all he had to do was make good press statements and the bill would be covered. This,of course, was just another Crey lie. They just wanted Tara as a human test rat for a new regeneration chemical for the Paragon Protectors. She was submitted to painful head to toes baths in the chemicals and just as Crey promised it cured her cancer, in fact it cured it so well that it had actually changed her DNA and she was capable of self healing at incredible rates. That was not the only side affect it seemed, Her strength was now slightly altered to a higher degree and she was far more agile than ever. To make sure that it stuck the scientists would subject her to ever more of the painful baths and treatments that bordered on torture were now more common on this poor girl. The final straw for her father was the day he went to visit her only to find that her hair was completely white, at first he joked and said her hair was "White as a bone" but the she pulled the covers back and showed him that not only was her hair white but also her nails and spots of her skin were turning the same pale shade. He went and told Crey that they were through with her and that he was going to report them to the authorities. Tara could the silhouettes out side her window arguing and at the end she saw a Crey enforcer pull out a silenced gun and end her Father's life. For the next five years she was poked prodded and tortured, she was being trained to become one of their Paragon Protectors but before they could finalize the brainwashing she manage to over power her captors and escaped the lab. On the streets was no place to be so after getting some of what was left of her savings she went down to city hall and registered as a Hero. With her "Bone White" skin and her renewed will to help others in need she choose a persona that would strike fear into those who do wrong But without forgetting who she was, she made the name Skeletara her own.
