This article about a character is a stub -- a small, but growing, work in progress. If you're the creator of this character, why not consider expanding it?

Templar-02 is the mass produced version of the Templar-01. The -02 has recently been deployed as an enforcer type gynoid, created and sent by the Delai Corporation to patrol the streets of Paragon City. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen events within Delai, other -02 models have been suspended from being delivered throughout the rest of the city. After the events of the Blood-Gear arc, -02, now affectionately named "Genie" remains as the only one of her kind.

The Templar series

The Templar-02 in stasis.

The Templar series was created to work as a ruthless enforcer of justice, using lethal measures and on-site capital punishment to neutralize dangerous lawbreakers and other high-leveled threats within its designated patrol area. This was to be the first model in the movement toward replacing Longbow members and eventually Heroes themselves. Delai firmly believes that Longbow and their superpowered vigilante allies have been "too soft" in their methods to bring law and order to villains and vicious criminals. Some villains will simply never change, no matter how much reformation is shoved down their throats, so the company will do justice a favor and get their hands dirty for them.

The Templar-02's Armament and abilities

All units are created the same, equipped with synthetic brain, high density compound armor, fiber optics, and high-end motors. Aside from its impressive AI programs, the greatest piece of Templar-02's equipment is its containment gauntlets. These gauntlets are filled with a volatile oil-like liquid that works as a synthetic version of the "Dark Melee" arts that Heroes and Villains utilize.

Weaknesses

There are several weaknesses the Templar-02 possess. The most notable is her weakness to attacks which are based on electricity. No matter how much padding her designers put into her, it can only hold so much before she temporarily shuts down, however, she will never completely shut down.

She is also prone to attacks of the mind due to her simple AI "brain" and telepaths may even enter, however with so much numbers and calculations going on, mindreaders can suspect only chaos. Many who have participated in her testing period describe it as listening to fingernails scrapping against a chalkboard through a megaphone.

Lastly, the -02 tends to burn itself out easily during very heated battles, her generator being too old to keep up with the physical demands.

CRU-194466

Johann aka The Old Bean relaxing at Atlas Park.

The Templar-02 model CRU-194466 was built personally by the series creator Johann Joachim Bean VII, also known as The Old Bean. She had been made according to the production prints, except Johann had slipped a prototype psuedo-AI as well as programs into her without the company's knowledge. Unlike the other units, she has the ability to learn far beyond just tactics and how to deal with threats. She could observe the human being, learning about them, their cultures, ideals, the way of their life and much more, making her unique among the soon-to-be delivered 02 units. Despite being relatively the same as the others, Johann viewed this particular unit as a "daughter", and always went to extra mile when maintaining her.

Personality

Like normal robots, her personality is almost lifeless and monotone. With her simple AI, she has the ability to learn from observation and tries to use them when conversing with other people. However, sometimes, she can use these incorrectly, so far as even taking things literally:

Hero: "That was a piece of cake!"

Templar-02: "Error, it was a job done efficiently, not a cake."

Hero: "...."

OR

Hero: "What's the difference between a lawyer and a vampire? ...Vampires only suck blood at night!"

Templar-02: "Lawyers are not known to su--"

Hero: "It's a joke, c'mon!"

Infected Mercenary and Templar-02 at Atlas Park

The first Supergroup that Templar-02 joined was once called H.E.R.O.E.S., though she did not stay very long, the time she spent there was with a splinter team led by a rock star singer/superhero named Phuerton. The rest of the team consisted of a girl that controlled the elements of Earth, and a gunman who received his from a disease called the Infected Mercenary.

At first Phuerton's team did not approve of Templar-02's methods of dealing with criminals and did their best to change her ways despite her orders being ingrained into her programming. It was widely believed that they ultimately looked the other way when the -02 carried out her bloody judgments, feigning ignorance. Despite such a dark secret the team now carried, they did however, warm up to the android, questions of how she was made, who made her, and how she worked and lived were commonplace, and was finally decided to give her a new name, to which it was agreed by consensus to call her "Kelly".

Sadly, the team was quick to fall apart following the sudden disappearance of the other female team member. It was suspected that the mob had kidnapped her. Despite Phuerton's best efforts, she was never found again. This would eventually lead to the team's departure from H.E.R.O.E.S. as Phuerton never gained support from the group.

With Phuerton taking both Templar-02 and Infected Mercenary from H.E.R.O.E.S., a new group was born called the Transcendents, its objective the same as H.E.R.O.E.S., but proclaimed as more friendly and less businesslike.

Like her membership with H.E.R.O.E.S., it didn't last long, with Phuerton disappearing several weeks later. Infected Mercenary, the second in command, left shortly afterward after a rejection from trying to be romantically involved with Templar-02. The -02 remained in Transcendents for several months as the only member before finally closing the doors and reporting back to Delai Corporation and being assigned a caretaker.

After the events of the Blood-Gear incident, she is now a prospect recruit for a large SG called "The Legionnaires", introduced by her newest caretaker, Sarah Langley.

Trivia

Before meeting Sarah, Pheurton had the greatest influence on Templar-02 and introduced her to the world of music. To this day, she listens to The Cape Radio station via her targeting array headgear.

Her creator, The Old Bean, was a big fan of the Xenosaga and Terminator series and both played a part when creating her.

Sixty Watt is the only person she has given a gift to as a way to emulate human relations. It is a flask with Sixty's emblem on it.
