How This Train Wreck Works

Terror Born has a confusing story. There are three main parts that make up his past, and his outlook on life.

Revenant

R-1062 (as he was originally called) is a failedrevenant of Zarp Draken. The body and skills were replicated perfectly, but the process took an odd turn when R-1062 was implanted with Zarp's memories. Something in his mind broke, and R-1062 lost his sanity completely. He was written off as a failed revenant, and would have been disposed of if not for Kevin McQuillian and his pet project, Xylcon-N.

Xylcon-N

Dr. Kevin McQuillain, a brilliant scientist working at Crey Biotech, had created an incredible substance. His name for the black ichor was Xylcon-N. Xylcon-N appeared to be the physical manifestation of human fear. The substance came to life around fear, and often tried to induce more by taking on new shapes or even attacking those it percieved as afraid. What's more is that the substance appeared to have latent psychic abilities, which lead McQuillain to believe that Xyclon-N was actually sentient. While the ramifactions of making a human emotion physical was colossal, McQuillain was told to pause his research until he could fix R-1062.

R-1062 suffered from non-stop nightmares, even when he was awake. Deeming his memories a crucial step in an unmentioned plan, Crey demanded that McQuillain do everything he could to save the revenant. Partially disgruntled that his research was interupted (and partially hoping R-1062 would simply die so he could get back to work), Dr. McQuillain attached a large sample of Xyclon-N to R-1062 to see what would happen. To his amazement, the substance grew and overtook R-1062. Instead of inducing psychic based nightmares as it did in all instances before, the Xylcon-N remained peacefully on R-1062. All the while, R-1062 seemed cured. He was able to think straight, and was no longer plagued by whatever defect drove him insane.

Through a series of complicated events, both R-1062 and Dr. Kevin McQuillain escaped the clutches of Crey. Now, R-1062, going by the name "Terror Born", has developed a symbiotic bond with the Xylcon-N. It continually feeds off of the insanity-inducing terrors that have plagued him since his creation, and he uses its psychic abilities to further his own agend. Unfortunately, R-1062's fear is not always enough to sait the strange creation...

Stale World

Terror Born has all the memories and experiences as his original copy, Zarp Draken. This has made him an exceptionally bitter person.

Zarp has lived a long, experienced life. He has seen much, and has reason to distrust almost anyone he meets. Now Terror Born, freshly created and new to the world, can accurately predict the outcome of most situations (and people) before they occur. He describes it as a stale world -- where even the things he has never personally encounted feel old and used.

Despite his best attempts to live his own life, Terror Born is constantly reminded that his life is a shadow of another man's.
