The Girl and the Kheldian

Mimi Duquesne was born February 3, 1986 as the youngest of four siblings. She was slightly premature and a bit on the small size, which she would remain for her life thus far. Though she never excelled in athletics and her grades were merely average, the petite girl was content during her school years. She was timid, shy, though exceedingly patient and kind to the point many have taken advantage of her. She is, perhaps, a bit too forgiving of others that have.

Dancing Lodestar is a relatively young Kheldian that was actually born on Earth, and thus has none of the common forms people are familiar with seeing Kheldians in. She was curious, just as shy, kind and patient as Mimi, but had a rarely touched on feisty streak when she saw something happen she considered "wrong." Lodestar flitted from place to place for a relatively long time (considering the lifespan of Kheldians) without a host.

The Merge

Mimi and Dancing Lodestar met in a park in Steel Canyon on a gloomy day in late September. Mimi was upset and spending time alone with her thoughts over yet another false friendship when Lodestar came to her; Lodestar, being just as kind as Mimi, took an interest in cheering the girl up and began a conversation. The pair hit it off and as Mimi learned more about Lodestar and her eventual need for a host to survive, Mimi offered herself as a host to the Kheldian without even knowing of the benefits she'd receive in turn. Lodestar was touched by this gesture, and agreed wholeheartedly.

Their merge was complete, the two personalities joining to form one new one. Mimi's more withdrawn nature was balanced by Lodestar's natural inclination to know and fight, but otherwise the new identity isn't so different from her original two parts. She took on the title Gleaming Guardian, though she still goes by her human name in her civilian life. As her power as a Peacebringer grows, so does her self confidence. She's become a registered hero and fights closely with other Peacebringers and even Warshades.
