Born on July 25th, 1950, Vladimir Nikita Kalashnikov (his family being related to the famous Russian gun maker) was born in Obninsk, Soviet Union Russia to a high ranking party member and KGB Agent Nikita Kalashnikov and Marianova Kalashnikov. Following his father’s death at the hands of an American spy during a mission in the United Kingdom, Vladimir become Soviet focused, becoming a huge fan of Vyacheslav Tikhonov and joining the army as soon as he was able. By the age of 30, Vladimir had achieved the rank of Polkovnik(Colonel), was a Special Agent for Fifth Chief Directorate of the KGB (his specialization being counter espionage to his American counterparts) and, in 1979 he was given a special assignment in Afghanistan during the Soviet Occupation. He was placed in command of Operation: Afghan Rose, a super science lab hidden in the mountains of Afghanistan (Soviet Commander to Vladimir: "Afghanistan is nothing but sand, rocks, and mountains with flowers and tree's sprinkled in. Perfect for hiding something dangerous."), alongside East-German born Colonel Boris Gurderian. Despite his years spent killing enemy spies and soldiers, Vladimir was disgusted by the senseless experimentation upon a small group Afghan civilians, non-soldiers, kidnapped by Russian soldiers for experimentation ("I can understand torturing and killing criminals, spies, and rebels: But experimenting upon innocent civilians is where I draw the line"). Vladimir went rogue and activated the Fire Flood feature of the lab, flooding it with Napalm, killing all soldiers & scientists inside and destroying years of research.

He disappeared for years into the Middle East, using money stolen from the KGB to sustain himself, and re-appeared in September 5th, 2002, Kandahar City, Afghanistan. During a visit to an old 'friend' also in hiding, Vladimir assisted in the take down of a Taliban assassin attempting to kill Hamid Karzai and, after being described in a news report on the incident, was captured by Russian soldiers 3 days later, who proceeded to sedate him. He awoke days later in the Kremlin, wearing a fine black suit and facing across from the desk of President Vladimir Putin. After de-briefing him on Russia's current status (Vladimir had not been following much news one Russia after 1992), Putin offered Vladimir two options: Be executed as a War Criminal or assist Putin in cleaning up the mess the USSR left behind. "Hundreds of meta-humans were left behind following the fall of the regime...hundreds of angry demigods who hated the whore their country turned into, thank you Yeltsin...and a hundred others looking to join this new world, either becoming Heroes or thugs for the Vors...We need to clean house, Kalashnikov...and you're one of the few I trust to help me do it."

Vladimir readily accepted the offer to help new Russia and, after receiving a small dosage of a USSR SS serum to get his body physicaly primed (The Iron Hide serum), has been systematically destroying or confiscating Soviet Super Weapons and arresting, and when there is no other choice, killing, super soldiers and spies who've used their talents to become criminals or terrorists. After clearing up a majority of European Soviet labs alongside the UNOSOV (Upravleyini Nakhadka Obivnyat Sovyet Okinyi Veshiyem “the Bureau to Locate and Prosecute Rogue Soviet Superhumans”) and “removing” old soviet agents, Vladimir has been re-assigned to America, where a majority of Soviet agents and meta-humans flocked to following the fall of the USSR. And until every last soldier, hero, spy or machine of the Cold War Russia is in check, Vladimir will hunt them down and seek allies to assist him…all the while keeping an eye on his new masters.

Equipment:

Wrist Comm Unit: The SCORPIO wrist communications unit is an interesting technology developed by Singer Defense Systems for SCORPIO Agents. It is in essence a highly advanced computer capable of tracking mission data, interfacing with satellite scans and collected intelligence, providing a communications interface. Unit acts as a basic datapad, able to store and retrieve data from robotic systems/androids/etc., the SCORPIO database, other computers (via a direct link or wireless transceiver), comm signals, and standard datacards.

Head-Up Display (HUD): A transparent display that presents data without obstructing the user's view. Originally developed for military aviation. Visual capabilities of the unit are taxing on the power cell and need to be replaced after a month normal usage. Areas with strong electromagnetic interference render the unit's radar useless while the communications become unstable.

Anti-Gravity Harness: Standard issue SCORPIO device located within the lining of Agents' 'stealth' harness and belt. Can be used on 'low' for greater jumping in combat, 'medium' for a sort of 'super' jump, and 'high' for flight. Follows directional touch control commands located in the palm of Agents' gloves.

MediPort Beacon Monitors vital signs in the wearer and prompts a teleport to the nearest hospital in case of an emergency. Can also be activated manually.

SCORPIO uniform: 8-ply kevlar panels (able to withstand ballistic impact up to .45 caliber bullets) "Atlex 5" a fire-resistant material that withstand temperatures of up to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.
