Skye Omega
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Skye is an example of a charcter whose history and development were both inspired by a single costume piece. In this case, the headgear she's wearing in the image on the right. In creating her I knew I wanted someone who had no deep psychological trauma, was relatively normal for all intents and purposes, yet could get away with wearing a really cool outfit. It was while still in the character creation phase that she became an everyday cop who just happened to wander into a time portal while on a call...

Personality
Despite her rigorous training and demanding job, Skye is still a young woman without any overly traumatic history or psychological issues. She is friendly and outgoing, and before finding herself transported into the past, was often seen out on the town with friends while off-duty.
She was a dedicated officer, as shown by her early promotion to sergeant, and had planned a long career in the Federal Police. Her strong commitment to duty, as well her own personal moral code, had garnered her a reputation among her superiors as someone to watch. Her penchant for short skirts and tight-fitting civilian clothes did the same among her more licentious workmates.
Abilities
In addition to her normal police training, Sergeant Omega has successfully completed advanced Aeroplaning instruction with a DMV police-license upgrade, advanced tactical weapons training with a specialisation in sniping, and was a member of the Paragon City ETF. After an extensive administrative course, she was given a rating (shift supervisor) commensurate with her rank.
She had been scheduled to undergo basic jump-boot training with an additional DMV police-license upgrade, but her unfortunate leap into this time-line precluded that.
Weaknesses and Limitations
Skye Omega does not manifest any super-human powers or abilities, and while off-duty and out of uniform is as physically vulnerable as any other non-meta human. Her experience and training, however, gives her an edge that most civilians would not have.
Equipment
Unless specified, the following items are USFP standard-issue, regular-duty uniform colors:
- Tandy HTP-ASIC CommSet
- Nolan Industries Mark 7 Personal Body Armor with Integrated Capacitor
- Nolan Industries Mark 3 Aeroplaning Armored Boots (Shift supervisor colors)
- Nolan Industries Mark 3 Tactical Gauntlets (sniper-capable, authorised personnel only; Shift supervisor colors)
- Rank Pauldrons (Sergeant; Shift supervisor colors)
Sergeant Omega had been partnered with a Nolan Industries Mark 1 Senorian Beta, however that unit was in for maintenance when she had been, rather unfortunately, transported to a prior time-line. Although not classed as equipment per se, it begs mentioning.
