Stormbender
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Stormbender is a level 50 Electrical Melee/Ninjitsu Stalker, with a mutant origin. She moved to the Rogue Isles in 2008 in order to fulfill a promise she made to her mentor. The source of Stormbender's powers stem from a connection she shares to storm phenomena, particularly lightning. She's able to manipulate and channel storm energy into her body and then expel it in powerful attacks against her enemies. Years of intense training in multiple fighting styles have made her a superb athlete, one who is capable of avoiding the majority of hits thrown her way. Her meta-powers manifested at the age of twelve, and her parents immediately sought to benefit from their child's potential. Once an important member of the Communist Party in the USSR, Stormbender's father had fallen on tough times in the wake of the Soviet Union's collapse. However, his plans to capitalize on his daughter's strange mutation took several years to implement and in the end were never fully carried out. An old friend of the family learned about what was happening and stepped in to stop Stormbender's father. Furious at her parents for betraying her, Stormbender asked her father's friend to help her leave. Petrov Petrovsky agreed to take the teenager under his care and arranged to have her removed from her parents' custody. Stormbender quickly learned that Petrov had his own agenda for the young mutant, but she was quickly convinced his plans were worthwhile. Petrov firmly believed that the Soviet Union would have never collapsed if men like Stormbender's father hadn't betrayed the nation's principles. He also insisted that the men who undermined the USSR should pay for their crimes, and he wanted Stormbender to help him. After ten years of strenuous training, Stormbender moved to the Isles to pursue and eliminate a group of people who Petrov identified as some of the worst culprits.
