From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Time line
1971: Dean MacFenir is born, son to Brian MacFenir, renowned inventor and scientist.
1978: Brian MacFenir is contracted as supervisor of local research & development laboratory owned by the then recently created Bladed Cross Corporation.
1980: Dean graduates high school and progresses to a local university; is hired as a part-time tester of inventions at father’s R&D lab.
1983: Dropping out of college, Dean starts work as a full-time tester of technologies at aforementioned R&D lab.
1984: Dean MacFenir becomes the designated tester for the Typhoon One model of prototype combat armor project. Project Typhoon is developed over the next few years.
1988: After two highly successful prototypes being produced from Project Typhoon, funding is increased from both the Bladed Cross Corporation and government investors. Dean becomes contracted to field-test the latest model Typhoon suit with the military, thus enlisting in the US Army later in the year.
1990: Specialist MacFenir is deployed with Typhoon combat armor in Operation Desert Storm. Project Typhoon excels in all engagements.
1994: Staff Sergeant MacFenir does not renew his 6 year contract with the US Army and returns to Seattle. Later that year Project Typhoon ends and is replaced with Project Torrent - a new generation of combat armor based off the success and knowledge gained via Project Typhoon. Dean’s personal suit of Typhoon Combat Armor is designated for disassembly but a clerical error is made unbeknownst to anyone but Dean and his father, saving Dean’s armor while still reporting it as decommissioned to Bladed Cross Corporate Headquarters.
1995: Dean resigns from the R&D lab and assumes the moniker Typhoon One, his secret identity as he begins a career of vigilante crime fighting in the American Western Seaboard; Typhoon One uses an abandoned garage in the outskirts of Seattle, Washington as a base of operations. Over the coming years Typhoon One quickly receives fame, infamy, and recognition as one of the top heroes on the west coast. While T-1 is somewhat of a public figure, his secret identity is maintained to stem retribution on his family from not only the Bladed Cross Corporation but also various organized crime groups that T-1 becomes known to fight almost exclusively for the last three years of the millennium.
2008: After thirteen years of crime-fighting on the Western Seaboard, Typhoon One makes a reluctant move to Paragon city when a second Rikti attack becomes evident. He leaves the west coast and Seattle to the few other heroes in that part of America; more specifically his estranged pseudo-partner in crime fighting, Torrent Five.
