- Kyle Vandross: Gidget's father. A 42 year old professor of Roman history. It was his idea to give his adopted daughter an "alien-like" name.
- Amber Vandross: Gidget's mother. A 39 year old computer technician. Amber learned she was infertile after trying to conceive with her husband for a number of years. She considers finding the baby Gidget a miracle of her life and worries more than anyone over her daughter and her dangerous career choice.

Gidget has the natural ability to send blasts of a bright orange energy from her hands, or to use that energy to increase the force behind a punch or a jump, allowing her to "leap tall buildings in a single bound'. Like many mutants of Earth, her powers kicked in when she entered puberty. At the same time her ears grew from elf-like pointed ears to the long things they are now.
Equipment
Part of Gidget's crime-fighting costume is her utility belt, because every hero worth their salt should have one. However, since she can't really afford any awesome gadgets or tools, her belt contains:
- 1 box of band-aids
- 1 police radio
- 2 bottles of aspirin
- 4 small rolls of medical gauze
- 1 bottle of disinfectant spray
