Personality

Morgan is a gambler, daredevil and thrill-seeker, who before his death, was also something of a womanizer. He has a 'devil may care' attitude, which, coupled with his natural charisma, and his manipulative nature, made it easy for him to make friends. Even though he is selfish, and manipulative, he found it easy to 'smooth' over the feelings of those he hurt, even if he had to use his psychic abilities. After his death and 'rebirth', he still maintains his basic personality, but is now obsessed with Mindstryker, his one time friend, partner, and killer.

Background

Early Years

Morgan grew up in the High Park neighborhood of Kings Row.

PPD

Morgan joined the PPD Academy just a year after high school. During his time in the Academy, he met Jack Whitney - later known as Mindstryker - and the two became fast friends due to their similar backgrounds and abilities. The two graduated in the top 10% of their class, and to their delight, were partnered together working in the same precinct.

As time passed, Morgan grew disillusioned with his work with the PPD. He found it thankless and unforgiving, not quite the glory-filled profession he had signed up for. This, combined with his increasing gambling debts, made him ripe for the next step.

Jack and Morgan were well known for bringing in their quarry, be it criminals, drugs, or weapons. Morgan's captain knew of Morgan's mounting debts, so approached him with a plan - he could assist Morgan monetarily, if he helped him with fencing the drugs, weapons, and making evidence disappear for criminals who would pay for it. Morgan jumped at the chance. Soon enough, he was making enough money to finance his gambling and other hobbies.

Morgan's captain, to make things look good, assigned Morgan and Jack to investigate the "sudden rash" of stolen items from the evidence room. Jack learned that Morgan was involved in the sales, and confronted him. Morgan attempted to let Jack in on the deal, but he didn't want to, so Morgan tried to kill him. Jack, instead, killed Morgan.

Dead?

While left for dead, a hero flew by to see the dying body on the ground. The hero suddenly went into convulsions, while a warshade flew out of her. The warshade immediately went into Morgan, healing most of the wounds. However, the warshade, named Sable, put Morgan in a deep, almost dead, coma.

Two months later, Sable dug himself out of Morgan's grave and began a rampage of his own. The Warshade had in inordinate hatred for Void Stalkers and Void Hunters, so he attacked them any chance he could. Eventually, his thirst for vengeance was satiated, and he turned his attention to his human host's want for vengeance. There was only one man Morgan wanted, and he wanted to do it his way.

Powers

For RP purposes, Morgan has limited powers of the Warshade human form. Gravimetric Snare, Essence Drain, Sunless Mire (as a disorient) and Orbiting Death (as a disorient) are his offensive abilities. His defensive abilities are his shield and Shadow Cloak (which is the same as Nebulous Form and is used for his healing abilities). Penumbral Shield is used to show the Warshade powers are being used in some way, usually to augment Morgan's telepathy or to defend him against psychic attacks.

Morgan depends mostly on the shape-shifting abilities of the Warshade for his defense, especially the Black Dwarf. The Dwarf can take almost any physical punishment, but is susceptible to psychic attack - which Morgan is responsible for defending against. When Morgan switches forms, Sable is in full control.

Morgan's telepathy is limited to mind-control or suggestions, mind-to-mind communication (within a certain range), and mind-reading, mostly mind-skirting. He still has the link between himself and Jack, and usually faces Raina's cat when he attempts to use it. Sable is able to block the cat with his own limited psychic abilities, and cannot attack it.
