This article about a character is a stub -- a small, but growing, work in progress. If you're the creator of this character, why not consider expanding it?

There is a great man who makes every man feel small. But the real great man is the man who makes every man feel great.

Kyle is a member of the Supergroup Project Corona, and is one of the five students that make up the colloquially known 'Vanguard'.

Personality

If Josh is the nerd of the Vanguard, Kyle is its quarterback. Photogenic, physically developed, clean-cut and all-American, Kyle connects the Project to rural atmospheres and hardworking families. Armed with the power of a star and the attitude of the ultimate quarterback, Kyle is a catch-all aid to any situation, and typically deforms the room around him purely by a marketing-generated buzz.

Beyond the spotlights, however, Kyle is remarkably normal. He's disinclined towards bullying, he treats his comrades with respect, and while he occasionally lets his temper flare and his fists tighten, it's never for his own sake. Kyle is the quintessential guardian figure, never defending himself, but always going into bat for those he sees as unable or afraid to fight for themselves. In this regard, he has earned the respect of Harlem when the latter let his class-based opinions flare into disdain of other members of the Project.

Kyle is a classic dichotomy; a gifted athlete with all the skill necessary to make his way in almost any sporting career - if not for his unnatural physiognomy - he still looked up at the skies on lonely nights in Nebraska, wondering about how the stars danced. A sensitive soul and an intellectual mind, Kyle has had to shoulder the burden of 'manning up' many a time.

Powers

Kyle's physiology is similar to that of the Nuclear 90, except taken to an extreme. Rather than a central fusion reactor in place of his heart, every cell in Kyle's body contains a fusion reactor on the atomic scale. He can generate massive blasts of energy through his hands and/or eyes, and use a powerful energy field for defense and flight.

Unfortunately, his powers' similarities to those of the Kheldian symbiotes known as Peacebringers has made Kyle a target for the Nictus and Void Seekers. Even worse, the quantum weapons they employ are able to momentarily destabilize his body's natural containment of the fusion energies. Essentially, quantum weapon impacts cause potentially fatal power surges.

Equipment

Kyle maintains a variety of costumes for various events and levels of activity. His everyday uniform is a high-density ceramic/kevlar body armor designed for maximum protection without sacrificing maneuverability. This suit also leaves the head largely unprotected in order for Kyle to keep his eyes and ears open.

His "Dress Uniform" is largely used for high-profile missions and whenever a strong media presence is anticipated. The suit's surface is a metalized version of his standard body armor, designed to be sleeker and "friendlier" to civilians. The suit includes a cape made of the same material. One drawback is slightly decreased protection, although mobility is unaffected. The other drawback is that Kyle hates how "pretentious" it makes him look.

Kyle has also been spotted at least twice wearing what appears to be heavy body armor. This armor has rigid plates, reinforced shoulder pads, a helmet and visor, and what appear to be supplementary boot jets to offset the suit's bulk in the air.
