Individuals

Powers

Ice/Snow Control

Gwendolyn Snow has great control over ice and snow; it appears she can harness it from within her body then blast her foes with an awesome strength of ice, even having the ability to call forth a snow blizzard to slow and confuse those that oppose her.

Great Upper Body Strength

Gwendolyn Snow shows great strength in her punches she has been seen shoving a foe yards away from her with one single punch, as well as stunning a foe, disorienting him for a moment, making him vulnerable to defeat; thru meditation training she is able to enhance her aim and her strength for a few moments during battle.

Psychoanalysis

The following transcript is a portion of a taped report by Eveline Rothschild, MD, PhD, senior psychoanalyst, PK Guild Intelligence and Analysis services, and appears to terminate abruptly, as though Dr. Rothschild was interrupted. Tape begins: Subject of analysis: Gwendolyn Snow.

The extraordinary fame of this beloved heroine provides immediate difficulties for objective analysis. This analyst herself has long admired the subject, and is in no way immune to the effects of the subject's powerful presence in the interview room. She presents the aspect of enormous, contained strength, combined with tremendous intelligence (she wears the Intellectual badge), combined with an undeniable glamour. However, an attempt follows:

This is at once a complex and disturbing dream. It displays simultaneous thought processes at several levels of cognition, with reflective processes moving back and forth between several temporal planes. This is the dream of a highly intelligent woman, closely in touch with, and yet at the same time repressing to a significant degree her painful and frightening memories of younger experiences.

There are several interpretations that may be applied. The first of these is that there are significant memories that are attempting to reach the "surface" of overt cognitive recognition. Whether the memories are reflective of reality in their dream reproduction is not immediately clear, however, their importance can not be underestimated for several reasons which I shall elucidate below.

Second: there seems to be a clear connection between the love object of the dreamer: her younger self, and the fear object: the Countess Crey. The degree of emotional connection cannot be understated - the specificity of the subject's connection to the Countess is unequivocally clear. A brief speculation on the nature of this connection follows:

The dream begins with the presence of the subject's parents, providing sensorial of safety and security. The dream then progresses to a physical translocation, out of the initial place of safety, to another, less secure location, although surrounded by objects of positive emotion, such as Snoopy bedding and the like, and the substitution of the youthful, subjective dreamer, with the objective, observing, older dreamer.

This translocation clearly indicates further areas of repressed memories yet to be clarified, as the process by which the subject lost her initial place of safety appears to be still under repression... it is in fact possible that these agitated recollections represent the real possibility of the child’s having been abducted, possibly with evil intent. Further, it is the impression of the analyst that this repressed material may, in sum, reflect the experience of the child involved during the intervening period.

I hesitate to express my final thoughts. However, professional responsibility requires that I do so, as in good conscience the events described may be of enormous significance to the larger community. I believe that the child in this dream, identical to the older subject of the narrative, may have been abducted in childhood. Further, I believe that she may have been subjected to the techniques, well known in many circles, of power enhancement and cognitive manipulation developed by the Crey research facilities. Finally, the possibility of a direct connection between the abducted child (now the narrative subject), and the Countess herself, cannot be discounted. The presence of positive sensory associations (perfume) between the narrator and the Countess indicate a degree of intimacy between the two, which alarms this analyst to no small degree. It is not entirely beyond speculation that the subject was "adopted", raised by the Countess herself, and then released into the community, in the form of the heroine who subsequently achieved enormous, city-wide acclaim as the beloved Gwendolyn Snow. The further implications do not need to be described, lest they provoke panic among our organizations. Further discussions of these findings will... end tape

Abilities

Leadership

Gwendolyn Snow does not show much faith in her leadership abilities even though she has several that adore and follow here where ever she may go, trusting her every word, and intrusting their lives to her knowing she will lead them to victory...knowing she will leave no man/woman behind.

Character History

Synopsis

Ready for a fight!

After graduating from highschool in Cohoe, Alaska, she left a tearful cheerleading squad and headed to the University of Texas. There she met a professor by the name of Coldelessa, a former registered hero of Paragon City gone college professor, who introduced her to a low key department known as UM or the Understanding of Magic, Gwendolyn Snow learned how to harness the new found powers she possesed, how to include them in her every day activities and how to hide them from the other students. During her stay at UT she did various things besides her UM classes, she was head of the Homecoming Committee and Head Chearleader...she was also runner up for Miss Texas. During her years at UT she discovered that she was adopted and not of Earth, with the help of Professor Coldelessa she learned to come to grips with this new found information. After graduating she decided it would be best to head to Paragon City where she could find out more about her life and who she is or will become.

Barmaid.jpg

While learning how to be a hero in Paragon City she found a job as a bar maid of the local hero hang out known as Capes and Cocktails, after a year of working behind the bar the owner Captain Morggan turned the bar over to her...she was now the owner of the establishment and refurbishing the apartment upstairs. Her love life has been a constant roller coaster ride including a long term relationship that ended recently, along with her innocence as she was abducted by Crey and left for dead in the streets of the District of Columbia where a known villian discovered her half conscious, also leaving her for dead...after a long recovery in the AP hospital and several weeks at the home of the Grae's; Gwen is back up and running trying to move along with her life now thrown up and scattered, like dried leaves in the fall.

Love Life

Sebastian?

Gwen has never been more confused when it comes to men before. Does he like her? Does he want to be with her? Does she want to be with him...compete with everyone he has been with in the past, his whole entrouge...what will they think? But she likes him alot and hopes all the things are worth it and that she can really be with him.

sometimes we make decisions in our lives that we must call mistakes and move on, sometimes they make us stronger, sometime they scar us...but they always affect other people, it is how we deal with the aftermath that shows the character of the person we have chosen to be...which one do I trully love? which one do I want to be with that wants to be with me? will I make the right choice? will he still love me once he knows? That is if he ever did...

loves grows strong with barely a whisper of doubt, but its there, the kind of doubt that crawls in one tendril at a time slowly creeping, slithering, grabbing hold of a memory or an event that makes one wonder if the love she feels is felt in return, the kind of doubt that is spawned by absence...the kind of doubt one tries desperately not to let stay long, the kind of that leaves a seed of wonder towards another man, another man that is there when the one she wants is not? Doubt, do we truly ever live with out doubt, with out wonder of what could be...what should be...or do we hold on to the truth we know, the love we have, the ability to forgive...forget...

Robert?

heartbreak: it seems to be the only thing constant in Gwendolyn Snows life...Her decision to leave Robert was she thought in his best interest, though it made her sad and heartbroken she felt it was the only right thing to do, she could never be the woman he needed, the woman he deserved. She wanted him to be happy and she knew being tied to her would only make his life more difficult and in the end would make him miserable and she could not stand the thought of him resenting her, her life as an immortal and super-hero counters his own human life, she suffers knowing they belong together but can never be. Not sure if happiness is ever going to find her, she heads out once again for a time of healing...her current love and fiance Sebastian Kain has disappeared leaving only a phone call from his secretary that he is truly sorry...sorry! The same word seems to appear on the lips of the few men in her life...

the end of a rather interesting and bizarre courtship, Gwen and Sebastian have called it quits, the engagement over, the star-crossed lovers extinguished...what is to be done now, where do the two go from here? Gwen back to her cabin by the lake she has exiled herself in and Sebastian back to his Manor, his thrown if you will, where he can relax and ponder on his next move...now what to do about the ring.

Stan?
happiness can it survive and grow for a soul that is in constant torment, can it really be that this time with this man, she can truly be happy...this time things might be different, this time its about her, can she love herself enough to be true to who she is...and true to who he is; living separate lives together? Is it possible? Only time will tell in this new web that Gwendolyn Snow has found herself in...the absence of drama is what is so appealing when it comes to the new man in her life. Happiness, it seems to be back in her life, her eyes once again glinting with the spirit that we have all come to love about her, the smile on her face once again never wavering...its there...the hope that has been gone from her for so long, could it be true this time...the joy of simple love carries her up to the skies hopefully keeping her afloat, this man is right...this is solid...with Stan her life seems complete, though they do not see each other often enough, their love seems to grow in bounds daily. Will her love appease him, her only worry is his darker side rejects her one day and she is left completely empty. Only time will tell what happens in their future, but for now she will hold tight and keep her eyes locked on his as proof to him her love does not waiver...

The night before the rest of my life!

the dream

I had a dream last night…my first in a long time that I can remember…I think it was my first memory…not sure, but I thought I should write it down…just in case I need to remember it later, maybe it has something to do with the changes Ive been experiencing…not only my eyes physical change but I can ‘see’ things now, things I couldn’t see before…its odd…not sure…I think someone said something the other night about an aura around someone…not sure what that means, though I have learned a little about it in my magic training…about the colors and such and what they mean, but now Im seeing them…or something like them…maybe its the life force that I heard Lamius talk about the other night…well anyway…my dream:

…Everything was bright and I heard a woman call out to me…she was telling me to be strong and to be safe…a mans strong arms were around me…holding me tight. Was this my mother and father?? The light got brighter, his arms tighter around me, more secure, as the womans voice faded and then I was in my room at the Pendragons, back in Alaska, but I was an adult. I was sitting on my little twin bed with the snoopy bed covers and I walked around looking at my trophies and ribbons from cheerleading days, I tried to open the door to leave but it was locked…I shook the handle and nothing it was odd…I looked around the room to the window I was gonna open it, but I couldn’t get to it…I couldn’t move, like my legs were in cement…I felt like someone was watching me, like I was frozen in fear…I turned my head to see, and it was the mirror, it was me when I was 13…watching me…she/I smiled at me then slowly turned around and pointed, she/I looked back at me standing there and said something but I couldn’t hear her/me…she/I was frustrated I could tell, I just stood and watched…she/I breathed on the glass and wrote CREY across the breath on the glass…then she looked scared and ran away backwards while watching…”What is it…what do you see?” I screamed at her reaching for the mirror watching my younger self in terror running away…something touched my arm and I screamed then looked to see what it was…it was Countess Crey!

Just as she smiled her wicked smile and her vanilla scent filled my nostrils I woke up…

Chatting with Kyle Peck

The hunt for Vahilzok By Gwendolyn Snow

It was a foggy night; I was cruising around the streets of Steel Canyon in my ’67 mustang, purple of course, with the top down, when I saw Kyle Peck, an EPA investigator, standing on the sidewalk looking nervous. I asked him to hop in I would give him a ride where ever he needed to go, but standing on the dark corner was not the place for him. As we drove he told me about how the Vahilzok were out in force and how things were starting to get bad and wouldn’t it be nice of me to write up a story about how things really are with them in combat. Well it’s not normally something that I do, but I told him I had a tip on some activity in Kings Row anyway, so I would get him his story. I dropped him at EPA headquarters and headed to Grimy Ridge. They stick to dark areas, since they like to take their victims alive, ”early donation” is what they call it. They truly are despicable creatures. I heard a lady scream and headed in that direction, scanning the allies as I drove on. I found them, threw the ‘stang in park and jumped out. There were just three of them, the Reaper and his two-idiot minion Cadavers. I froze the Reaper so he couldn’t hurt the lady while I took down the Cadavers and cuffed ‘um for patrol to take them to the station. I wanted to “chat” with the Reaper. It took a lot to get him submissive; he is very crafty with that bow and arrow. But of course I got him down, cuffed him and called the paragon patrol to come take them all in. While waiting he told me a thing or two, but that is for another story. The lady was Ossie, she was kind enough to stay back until I was thru arresting, she came over and thanked me for saving her life, said she hopes her kids grow up to be just like me. God, I sure hope not. I took her down to the tram and dropped her off, told her not to walk around the streets by herself its not safe. Sure hope she listens. I decided to take a ride to Kings Row and see what was shakin there; I know the Skulls and Vahlizok like to hang out that way most. I was having a hard time finding any Vahilzok, so I thought I might as well take on some Skulls maybe they could lead me in the right direction, I figured something big must be going down for them not to be scattered around. I saw some Skulls standing around talking, they weren’t doing anything illegal, but I stopped anyway. I leaned out the car and called um over, of course they took off. I chased ‘um down, cornering them under the bridge on Industrial Avenue. They were freaking out screaming about their rights. Whatever, I figure they are just some hooligans looking for something to get into. Scary thing is they are all usually teenagers. But then I’m not much older. They told me after some persuasion that I could find some Vahilzok around the sewer down the street. I let um go, cause I couldn’t really hold ‘um for anything. I told them to go on home; nothing out here for them to get into, besides it was almost curfew time. Finally found those Vahilzok around the sewer, just like the kid said. I was too late for the poor guy they were embalming but I could still try to make it up to the guy. This time two Reapers, great I thought. I had to freeze ‘um both throw some rain down so they couldn’t get away, while I took on the Cadavers…you have to get them first because they are really big. Besides the flies are horrible, so better to get them out of the way. Ughhhh!! I grabbed up the Reaper’s, called in for back up and proceeded to take them down with my ability to throw Ice to freeze and knock them down. It worked well enough. I had a pain in my shoulder and looked down…ughh that is where that arrow went, I thought. When back up got there I was already taping up my shoulder. Well all in a night’s work. I hope everyone reading this thinks twice before going out alone in the dark. These guys work during the day too, so please be careful and take heed. And if you notice a lot of flies around for some reason, Run!!

Place: Crotoa Contact: Skipper LeGrange

There is a Civil War going on by the inhabitants of a town that time seemed to forget. I have heard rumors of the place known as Crotoa, of the horrible war that happened there, of the horrible things that happened to the poor people that resided in the small town. A dear friend of mine was affected by that war, her family store ripped to pieces and some of her family didn’t make it. So I was determined to help in any way that I could to restore peace in this sad little ghost town. My City Hall Representative sent me to Crotoa on assignment to meet Skipper LeGrange, a student of the unknown, so that he could brief me on the horrible monsters that I would be up against and why they were even battling to begin with. Skipper said that the Fir Bolg and the Tuatha de Dannon’s war could be tracked back to an ancient Irish legend. It seems they both blame each other for being displaced from their country. Skipper sent me out to New Connaught where the Fir Bolg seems to be most prominent and to get some pictures of the weird pumpkin headed creatures. He explained that he wished he could do it himself but has come near death every time he tries. So I head out to this strange misty place, it is so beautiful I can see why the people are so determined to get their home back, even after the horrible tragedy of the attack by these creatures. It’s a sad town; all the shops and diners seem to be waiting for their owners to come back. Its like time has stopped here until the monsters are made to retreat and the humans can come back. Its like no other place I have seen in Paragon. I find the Fir Bolg harvesting pumpkins of all things near a beautiful lake surrounded by ancient looking trees dripping with Spanish moss, it reminds me of home a little. I almost felt sorry for the poor feeble looking creatures until they spotted me taking pictures of them and viciously attacked, so I in turn arrested 15 of them and returned back to Skipper once the Patrol came in to pick them up. Skipper was pleased with the pictures and gave me a Divining Rod to help me on my way thru Crotoa, its supposed to help with the ghosts…one shot is what he said…it’s a funny looking walking staff with a purple egg shaped thing on the top. I wasn’t too sure about this but he is the knowledgeable one. Skipper had a tip of the location of the Fir Bolg Laire so I headed back out to New Connaught in search of this mysterious laire he was talking about. I was supposed to try and find an informant, or make an informant, out of one of them, to get some information regarding the Civil War. I found the old wooden door in the side of the hill; it appeared to be an old mineshaft, right by the lake. Of course there was some kind of half wolf half dog looking creature walking on two legs in the water, so I had to be extra careful when I landed not to attract them. I made it in to the cave system and began my search of course it didn’t take long and I had defeated all of them, there weren’t as many as I was prepared for. In the last room, however, there was a large boss of the group he called himself Maolan and he was tough. I called the Patrol in to come them, as they were being loaded up I finally got one to yell at me; it said, “Tell your evil masters, The Red Caps, that they will never triumph over the spirit of the Fir Bolg”. Well that wasn’t what I was looking for…now what are the Red Caps?? Good question, I will be checking with Skipper on that one, I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t keep me informed of all the baddies around here.

Event Participation

The Z Games

Z Games.jpg

The Mysterious Mr. Z, benefactor of the supergroup United Sanction Society, organized a tournament of champions to take place in the Arenas located in Talos Island and Port Oakes to decide who is the mightiest. Many heroes and villains took part in this battle such as: Justice Prime, Seadevil, Xanatos, Bloodywedd, Dragonberry, Gwendolyn Snow, Ledgerdemain, Mr. Mud, Coyote Storm, Darknesse, Capt. Starfall, Inertial, Umbral Wrath, Humor, Vindicator, Grae Blizzard and many, many more.

Mr. Z's "partner" President Sebastian Kain suggested Gwendolyn Snow re-enter the tournament after being uliminated as part of a team coming back to fight the champions; she failed, but did her best and felt certain President SK knew this and would inform Mr. Z. However, she feels certain she will not be asked back again.

Fall Extravaganza (Paragonian Knights Event)

October 06.jpg

Gwendolyn Snow along with several other Paragonian Knights planned one of the biggest fall/halloween events that Paragon and Crotoa had ever seen. Most of the registered heroes at the time made an attempt to at least make an appearance. There were of course some bumps in the road, and Gwendolyn Snow had a few issues to deal with, but the event went on as planned and turned into the huge success they had hoped it would. After following in the foot steps of Lady Grae's masterful planning of the Spring Fling of 2006, Gwen surely had her hands full and some big shoes to fill, so to speak. There were all kinds of costumes, from a male wonder-woman to the devil, Lucifer, himself. Even Ghost Widow found a way to come and enjoy the festivities, even though several heroes there had long time grudges on the woman she came anyway...and no one cause too much of a problem. She was gracious and even thanked the Paragonian Knights then dissapeared where ever she had come from. Several contests were had and events were held including a race of super powers and of course a kissing booth. All were great hits.

2nd Annual Spring Fling (Paragonian Knights Event)

Cover copy.jpg

Once again a party was a success and once again The Paragonian Knights, led by Gwendolyn Snow and The Grae Knight, were the hosts...The day was a success, a nice crisp clear day, the area of Faultline had been cleared of badies, so even the lowest of clearance heroes could join in the fun. Mirror Flower was in the best of moods and let Gwen and her crew set up the biggest party to hit Paragon City since the last Spring Fling the Paragonian Knights had. Everyone that was in town was there, it was a blast...special DJ appearances by DJ Rocket and DJ Suburban Hell of RadioFTW were there, even the hottest DJ of them all DJ Larke, herself, showed up. What an extra special event. Even DJ Zero allowed heroes to access his establishment to gain direct access to the party, of course he had to decline his invitation, but the party still took off. Lots of beautiul bodies were in the best designer suits...plenty of drink to go around...great atmosphere, it appears everyone had a grand time.

Killer (the ever present polar bear)

Copi.jpg

Not many are aware of the true origin of Gwendolyn Pendragon also known as Gwen Snow, so I am here to clarify a few things. First off, I am not a just a polar bear that sits on Gwens shoulder for appearance sake; I am an energy entity of my former self. I am the power behind Gwens amazing strength and resilience. I shall begin from the beginning, which seems to be the best place.

It was a warm and glorious day on the planet I used to call home, Nogard…ah what a beautiful place that was. It was a small planet, nothing compared to Earth. The most glorious place you have ever seen.

Princess Ophelia found me by the Crystal Lake, I was relaxing after a long day of riding, “Rembert it is important that you stop your day dreaming and listen to me” at that I sat up and looked at her. This creature, this once radiant young woman looked beyond her years in age, I immediately was worried and ran to her side “what is it my princess, my glorious one?” She rested her head on my shoulder as only a lover would “ you must take Gwendolyn away from here, she is in grave danger. You must protect her.” I took her by the shoulders and saw the troubled future in her smoky blue eyes “I will not abandon your side, please Ophelia tell me what troubles you, and we shall take care of this together”. She sadly turned from me, her flaxen hair falling over her bronzed skin “You must go” she said, “for the sake of all that is mystical, you must protect the child, she is our only possibility of a future”

Before I go on, I must explain to you that Gwendolyn is not of this world or any other, she is a life form only to protect the mystic of Nogard. However she must be raised and protected like a child to keep this mystic safe from evil and destruction. Princess Ophelia was to be the protector, the guardian of Gwendolyn, but now she is hurting within due to a spell that was cast upon her to find the child. A horrible, sprite of a woman known as Yara of Elkin has cast a spell of age upon her. So you understand, our world has become such a peaceful place that time is irrelevant none know how old the world is or what age we all are, time is not a reality. We live in harmony from moment to moment. However there is always evil, or the universe would not be complete, as there is the Mystic there is also Yara.

After much discussion it was decided that I should take the child Gwendolyn to another world and live as her guardian, in order to protect her and her tie to this world my identity was changed to that of an animal, a polar bear. A polar bear is a sign of purity and clarity, which Princess Ophelia decided would be the best choice. A family was found thru an alliance of worlds in the region known as the Arctic in the Americas of Earth.

“I will go and do this for you my love, but what will become of you” I asked Ophelia. “You will see me again, I will not parish here darling” she reached for me and held me close to her, it was the last contact I had with my lover, she reached up to the sky asking the keepers of the Mystic to grant me the power to keep Gwen from harms way. “Good bye Rembert, you are my everything be safe” were the last words I heard her say as I was suddenly pulled from her in a blazing white light…I saw the child and reached for her to hold her close during the transport.

It has now been 15 earth years; Gwen is 18 and entering college. She wants to study the magic controlling of ice and snow thru Coldelesa, who is actually my love Princess Ophelia. Yes, a lot has happened, but so much detail, I will sum it up.

After the transport we were located with a family in the Alaska region of North America, I was to be the “pet” of Gwen while The Pendragons raised her as their own, so as not to bring any attention to the situation. Gwen blossomed as a young girl to a sharp and intelligent young woman. She was very smart and excelled at all she did, she was cheerleader in her high school, and loved to make people laugh. She has completely assimilated to the ways of the Earthlings. There is little she remembers from Nogard, which I assume is best. I am truly her pet, she loves me so, as I her. I feel as a father would to his child. She takes me everywhere she goes, even when not prompted by the Pendragons. It is important that I am always with her. I am only vocal with her in dream where I am the man Rembert, she seems to remember me, however when she awakens I am still “killer”.

Five years ago Ophelia contacted me she has healed the damage that Yara had inflicted upon her and has relocated to Paragon City to aid in the war against the Circle of Thorns, which are actually beings controlled by Yara, to venture out and find the vessel holding the Mystic. Ophelia has taken the identity of Coldelesa and joined forces with several other heroes to defeat them and to keep them from leaving Paragon City. We have met only in our dreams; Ophelia is a Goddess after all and can come to me while I sleep. In my dreams we are back in Nogard. Those are wonderful times where we walk along the banks of Crystal Lake and discuss the life we feel Gwen should have, both wishing we could have given the life we lived to her and be her parents together. We agreed that Gwen most go to college and experience the life as an Earthling, hoping this would make her a strong protector of the Mystic.

Ophelia left Paragon to become a professor at the University of Texas in the Magic division, which is where Gwen would be attending school. This way we could make sure all was well, and we could be closer. Our powers together would protect Gwen in case the need arose. Gwendolyn became a very strong and powerful woman, she was sent to Paragon City to follow in Coldelesas life choices. I, of course, am now and forever a permanent fixture to Gwendolyn she must not leave with out me, my powers and hers combined make her a powerful being and an asset to the people of Paragon City.

The rest as they say is History….
