A spacefarer travels through the cosmos as a routine part of his or her (or its) life. These travelers can move through space as part of their career, such as in the case of some merchants, military personnel, or diplomats, or they can travel through space as part of their existence, such as in the case of some space life forms or space station inhabitants. Characters who are spacefarers typically feel uneasy when grounded for long periods of time, and many feel the need to take forays into space when forced to live or operate in terrestrial environments for extended lengths of time.
