An accidental hero is someone who, despite their efforts, winds up fighting villains and/or saving the world. They didn't want super powers, but have sense of responsibility to use those powers to help others when no one else can or will. Mutants and those who accidentally gained powers are the most likely to be accidental heroes, but anyone can fall into this category --from the super scientist using his high tech inventions to fight injustice even though he'd prefer to sell his technology for a profit to those suffering a magical curse that also grants power. Even those without true super powers can be accidental super heroes, such as a peaceful kung fu master wanting only to be left alone but finding himself drawn into conflict time and again to save others.
